PSA: Assassin's Creed III FREE FOR PC RIGHT NOW!

Ubisoft is celebrating 30 years as a company and has apparently been giving away games the last half of the year and I didn't even know about it!!! But for the grand finale, they are giving away Assassin's Creed III !!! Which is one of the AC games I don't actually have already LOL.

Anyway, if you have a PC that can handle it, you can get it for FREE right now! Actually, even if your PC can't handle it, you can get the game and just not download it until you're ready. But you might as well claim a free copy!

Only catch is you have to sign up for Uplay, which is Ubisoft's program for distributing their game titles on PC. But they don't need $$ or anything, just email, password etc.

Free games yay!

DAGNABIT! Why is it not on Mac?? I mean, this is 2016! Drives me crazy...also because I told my friend to download it and now I am thinking she has a mac too...ugh.

Haha, so apparently if you have a Uplay account that you got through Steam because if you get an Ubisoft game through Steam it forces you to get a Uplay account, that account doesn't have a Shop tab (or and Ubisoft 30 tab). Because they... want to punish you for buying games through Steam?? So apparently if you buy a game through the Ubisoft online store for your Steam-linked account, it would activate your Shop tab, but I didn't want to do that because I just want a free game, dammit, so I just made a new account. Thus, I now have two Uplay accounts with one game in each, and I have to remember the account details for this new one + to log in to that one and not the other one when I want to play this game. THANKS FOR MAKING IT SO EASY UBISOFT. XD

Anyway, I have a free game now and I love free games, so thanks for the heads up!

LOL yeah I don't know why Ubisoft has this bug up their but about ALWAYS LINKING BACK TO UPLAY. I am pretty sure every time I start AC Unity on my Xbox it says "problems with Uplay server" at least 3 times.

And it is hilarious to go through all that for a FREE game when the point of Uplay is DRM and they are giving it away for free so who cares?

But, yes, FREE GAMES! WOO HOO!

Yeah, I didn't know they had hopped on the free game bandwagon. Xbox does this too. Which now means I have more games than I can ever play! Some of them are pretty awful but it is the thought that counts?
