Poor Pillowfort, so much attention and it was not ready for it. I keep trying to check the site and usually I have it up for about 5 minutes and then I'll try to comment or post and it errors out on me. I have a feeling people will give up soon enough but it is still too bad. I can tell you that EVERYONE uses it from 1-3 because I was playing with it at work (shhhhhh) and in the morning it was fine and then right at lunch time CRASH.

GoodReads just generated my "year in review" but I'm not done yet! I've got a couple graphic novels on my desk that I am determined to finish. Not going to hit my goal of 100 books, but 70 is respectable.

Kermit is one of my favorite ornaments. I tried to share it on PF but it kept rotating the image and I can't stay logged in long enough to fix it. :\ John Denver and the Muppets "Christmas Together" album is my favorite holiday album. Whole thing is up on Spotify too which makes me happy, means I'm not alone! If you have not listened to it, make sure you do. Especially "Silent Night" since it is the 200th anniversary of the writing of that song this year.

I have a bunch of favorite ornaments, but just this year I picked up a set of four horses at World Market that I really love!

I have a Kermit ornament too, but it's the one of him sitting on the log singing Rainbow Connection. My mom got it for me because this is the first song I sang to all three of my favorite babies, niece, nephew, and godson. So that ornament is beloved.

I have a lot of Disney Villians, but I think my favorite is an ornament I got in 1984. It's one of the only ones I took from my parents to bring to my own house, and it's a little kid in a parka climbing an icicle with a pick, like in that eight bit game ice climbers, and his/her little husky dog is already at the top looking down at him/her.

I have no idea because I have had Flickr FOR EV ER. Like, I used to pay for it and then Yahoo made it free and then they were sold to SmugMug last year and last month they announced they are going back to the free/paid tiers again so I'm paying again because I have way too many photos up there right now that I don't feel like going through them all.

But, yes, it is a nice site and no longer requires a Yahoo account to join so, yeah, easy to sign up for, easy to copy+paste the embed code, even for LJ/DW! And feels less sketchy than Photobucket and what not.

My favorite part of Christmas decorations is the scent of spruce needles. ^^

Kermit is adorable!

There was this pink metal bell ornament I always liked as a kid, as well as a gold blown glass ornament (that I always thought of as a shell, even though it is not shell shaped) that I just thought was THE BEST. Both of them are at my dad's house, though, so no pics. :(

Aw. I'm always scared of glass blown stuff because it all seems so fragile. I usually get sucked into the glass blowing demonstration at the RenFest every year because it is mesmerizing but then I never buy anything because I am a clutz and nothing I bought would survive the day!

Ha, nearly all of my ornaments are glass. So far, so good! :)
