gaming thoughts: Resident Evil 2 Demo

I played the new demo for Resident Evil 2, which is up on Steam, Xbox One and PS4 now. It just lets you play for 30 minutes then cuts you off.

I'm not sure if I screamed louder at the zombie cop grabbing Leon in the dark office or when the "your 30 minutes of gameplay time are up" message came up on the screen.

I played the recent Resident Evil game from a couple years ago and they used the same engine to remaster RE2, but the apparently also went through and changed some story stuff around. Not that I would remember because it has been ages since I played RE2.

But, yes, this comes out later this month, but since I just bought Mario and have a few other games to finish, maybe I'll ask to be horrified around my birthday :P

Anyone else play it?? Leon is so pretty LOL.

Jeeez, it's been a minute since RE2 first happened. I remember staying up "playing" that game with my high school buddies at sleepovers. (That's what we did at sleepovers--no Truth or Dare, no makeovers, just gaming and using AIM instant messenger to troll the boys from school.)

I "playing" in quotes though because I am useless with 3D environments. As cool as they are, I get completely lost using a controlling like that. SO I was kind of an observer/backseat driver. I love all the RE movies though.

LOL I did that for 'Layers of Fear' , not because I couldn't control it but because I was too damn horrified to MOVE! I had Sylvia play it and I sat next to hear with my hands half over my face, ready to jump.

Haha--yeah, I remember one girl having the controller and the rest of us screaming "OMG WHAT IS THAT KILL IT!" the first time the "licker" appeared. Gah, that was horrifying--and awesome. It is SO much fun when you have a room full of people.
