lousy kharmic retribution

So, next Friday is the Jack Johnson concert, and I got imabandmagnet to switch shifts with me at work a few weeks ago. Then she finds out last week that that is the night they will be cleaning the floors and she's going to be stuck there until 1am. But she doesn't beat me over the head, which is very nice of her. Today she called in sick, and I got stuck on extended shift until 10:00pm. So I figure all is well now in the Kharmic cycle.

I don't have to be in until 10am tomorrow! I'm still in pain from golfing. Next time I'm gonna stretch out! This is ridiculous. It's all on my right side, the shoulders, the rib..muscles?

I watched a good portion of the Academy of Arts and Sciences Panel Discussion with the Buffy cast & crew. It's on disc 3 of the season 6 DVDs. I was enjoying it but had to dash to work. Joss is always fun to watch. He's so goofy. I wish I knew people like him, who's brains worked that way, did wacky stuff like play readings at each others houses and impromtu singalongs. Probably if Becky & I lived closer together we'd do weird stuff like that....but instead of reading Shakespeare, we'd do classic Buffy or X Files episodes....yes yes...I need to move to Boston hehe.

How about Buffy, XF...and Edgar Allan Poe stories, maybe one of my scripts?! They'd all flow real well together...hee hee. And hey if I was in your area, I'd be down with that. At some point in my life I need to have one of those kinda get togethers. Seeing how my life is lately, that might come sooner rather than later!

And yes, Joss is a goof, a bloody brilliant one! :)

aaah, edgar allan poe. I went thru a HUGE Poe phase ages ago...listened to all of his stories on books on tape, rented the PBS specials...the Poe house is in Baltimore somewhere, I haven't been but I hear it's pretty cool. Hm...I wonder where my Poe books are...those would be great reading for the fall months.

aww! that fuckin sucks that you got stuck last night.Beth is trying to get me out of staying till 1 am she was like "Michelle you shouldn't be there! you're a kid you should be out partying!". So she's gonna try and see if Jenny will stay, I dont really mind staying, but i'd prefer not to. Ya know? It's all good.

yeah it's stupid that you guys have to stay at all. 1am YUCK! If I wasn't doing anything else, I'd show up with the Gamecube and hook it up to the TV haha. Knowing Jenny though, she'll probably hang with Beth. I tried to tell Andrea to stop scheduling me on Saturdays or Sundays, but I don't know if she'll remember. She seems a bit flighty, that one.

Yeah no kidding. You really just have to keep saying it to her. That's what I did. took a while, but it seems to work. She now asks me before she schedules me on both sat and sun.

ps. I forget- did I tell you that a theater group at MIT did the Buffy musical a while back? I was nervous- it could have gone either way and if it sucked we were in for a long night. But it was great! And it was hosted by Lorne!
