Does anyone else hurt themselves playing video games? I don't mean like carpal tunnel mouse injuries, I mean from playing Gamecube. My left hand, the one that controls the analog movement of the character, really hurts! I've been playing "Two Towers" the past couple days and after about 20 minutes my fingers and wrist are all sore. It's a tense game, though. I had to protect Helm's Deep, and that is no easy task. Sure, Legolas and Gimli and the warriors of Rohan and Elves are "helping" me, but it feels like Aragorn is doing most of the work here. And I can only blow up the poor guy so many times before I have to call it a day. (note to self: if a orc has a bomb strapped to his back and is running toward you, run AWAY from him). I can never remember all the combos, but there are a few I have the hang of. I think I keep using Orc killing combos on Uru-Kai, which usually just pisses them off rather than killing them. Ah well. I put the RotK video game on my xmas list, so hopefully I'll get that and have the little set.

Finished watching "The Two Towers" with writer/director commentary. I've realized that I've watched the Extended Cut so many times, I don't even know what the regular cut is like anymore. Peter Jackson kept talking about leaving out scenes and I can't even remember how the movie went the first time round. I can't wait for RotK: ED (but I'm going to have to as we're getting it for Xmas). I realized that I started watching them all again around the same time they used to come out in theaters. It's like I needed to see them in November/December. haha. Freaky, aye?

I made a Gollum/Smeagol wallpaper for my computer last night. I tried to make a Garden State one but the caps weren't high quality enough, so I have Gollum giving me the evil eye as I type this. I had forgotten how to do feathering in photoshop, so I was having a hell of a time blending it all, then I had sudden inspiration and viola. I think it's my first wallpaper that wasn't just a flat out scan of a book or something.

I also finished "A Series of Unforunate Events: A Bad Beginning" last night (as book 2 is waiting for me at NCO library). What an odd story. I am very curious about how they are going to make the movie work. The movie is the first 3 books though, so I have to read all 3 and then try to figure it out. I just don't know how people will react to a baby being tied up and put into a birdcage dangled from the top of a tower. hehe. I can't wait to see the looks on parents faces who have kids who are reading these books but they are not, probably have no idea what they are about, and they take their kid to see it and it has all this mayhem. hehe.

We went to Hallmark today and got our Xmas cards so we can start sending them out probably next week, if I get motivated. Maybe I'll start doing them Monday. We also got this cute little ornament for our (soon to have) tree:
