orangerfulSo AD & I ran over to Borders this morning. Found the one in Bowie which had my "Watcher's Guide Vol. 3" in stock, so I got that, completing my collection. It's actually a pretty nice book, from what I understand, it's probably more along the lines of what Joss wanted in the original Watcher's guide - more essays, less interviews. It also has the teleplay for "Restless" in the back along with some commentary by the book author on things that were hinted at that came to pass in seasons 5-7 (whether Joss knew it or not).
We checked out Border's calendar selection, but it was kinda lame, so we went to Arundel Mills. That's when things got CRAZY! We went to check out KayBee Toys, since we were there, and they had some new LotR action figures, so I picked up "Capture of Smeagol" with a little Faramir and Gollum inside, and a set of Moria Orcs, which are pretty sweet. Then we wandered down to Gamestop and AD got the original Golden Sun for his GBA and we renewed our Game Informer subscription with our gift card. Then the calendar store where I picked up a Star Wars Daily Trivia calender and the Star Wars: Evolutions calendar, which has some very cool pictures. Snagged a LotR day planner too, so I can schedule my library appointments with style. And on our way out we hopped into Bed Bath and Beyond and got some new silverware (as I somehow managed to break half our forks) and AD also bought a iron and ironing board. Then we went to Giant and now we're home!
Nutty day, yeah? Finally started playing KOTOR II last night. I feel bad since I never actually beat KOTOR (I got all the way up to Malak and he just kicked my butt too many times). Anyhoo, the new Sammy Z is now out and about. So far, no one is as annoying as Carth or Bastila. There's a scary Sith guy looking for me though, and i really don't want to bump into him yet. Fun game though.
Anyhoo, time to arrange LotR figures!
