What a morning. I could have sworn I turned on my alarm, but instead I turned on AD's alarm. Thank goodness the Provinces library called and woke me up otherwise I would have been LATE! I took a shower, made a bagel and dashed out the door.

I'm at Crofton right now, hanging out at the info desk, like ya do. It's been pretty quiet, but when I do get a question, they have been doosies. I just checked out "Artemis Fowl" as I only have 30 pages left in "Confessions". Provinces called and offered me some hours tomorrow, which I snatched up since I gotta start saving for Indianapolis.

I went to go look at flight prices again and ALL of the internet special prices I had been looking at from Southwest are sold out now. Grrrr. Like they say, she who hesitates loses her flight plan. So I think we'll just have to suck it up and go United and deal with the stop over in Chicago. It's not too bad, one stop. I tried to find books on Indianapolis, but no one actually wants to go there, so there are no Fodors or Frommers to check out. I went to the tourism webpage though and ordered a visitor's packet, so maybe that will point us in the direction of places to eat or visit when we're not in star wars land.

Going to get my phone after this! Yay!

[livejournal.com profile] marmistheman has been posting many amusing photos today, so he has been keeping me entertained when it gets slow. Thank you andrew!

I just finished reading Artemis Fowl and I have now moved onto Artemis Fowl: The Artic Incident. haha. It's like we're in a book club...we keep reading the same books.

okay, that is just a little bit freaky! haha. Great minds think alike. I also have this bad habit that every time I finish one book, I check out at least 3 more that day. I just found "tales of the slayers vol 2" and checked it out. At least Artemis shouldn't take that long to get through. :)

it was a really quick read....nice to read something fluffy since I have been crawling over my mound of mythology books lately.

Novel writing = fun.

novel research = putting a spork in your own eye.

haha.

okay, now it's just getting silly - a book just arrived for me at another branch that I ordered ages ago - the title: "Mythology for Storytellers"

Honestly, we could not be more on the same wavelength!

Oooooh....I don't have that one. haha. I have probably collected all the books in the county on mythology!

(I even broke down and bought a couple!!)

I found a book at my grandparents that is called "The Story of the Months"...it is about all the stories and myths and real history behind how the months got their names.

On another dorky note--I think I might be the new 'seeker' at [livejournal.com profile] hogwartssorting heehee. I get to go out and get people to go get sorted. ^.^

It's nice to find someone else on my wavelength. ^.^

Don't worry, Indy is a pretty easy city to get around. Any of the "newer" mid-western cities seem to be planned a little better and not the crazy jumbled up messes that were originally designed for horse-and-buggy and not nearly as many people, like the ones here. Are you planning on going to GenCon? That's what I've been there for. Though it's weird not having it in Wisconsin anymore.

We're going up for Star Wars Celebration III (which I think is actually being run by the GenCon people...) We went last time back in 2002, but we really didn't have much to do in the evening. Ended up seeing Spiderman. So I was hoping to get some info on places to eat, hang out, who knows. Especially since we'll probably be arriving Wednesday evening, which means we'll have some free time.
