IT'S BACK! My goodness, it's back. *hugs internet* oh how I missed you home connection. You have no idea how I longed to read e-mails at 2am....to browse my f-list at midnight....and now it's back. YAY!

In other random news - Alex asked me to come by the radio station on May 19th so I can talk about RotS and The Senator and Star Wars on the air! How cool is that? I need to make a little list of intellgent things to say so I don't end up babbling. Plus, I want to make sure I mention the collector's club and the 501st, since I'm sure someone from the 501st will show up. Also want to remember to give props to Kiefaber and the Senator for treating us so well. So those of you in Maryland - May 19th, 9am, 103.1 WRNR LISTEN! (but no prank calls please)

We went over to [livejournal.com profile] jimithingy's brother's house last night to do a star wars review. Al hadn't seen the movies in AGES and his wife had never really seen them. The plan was to watch one movie, since we didn't actually get over there until 8pm. But after we got through "A New Hope", Al was begging to watch one more. So after some debate, we went with "Empire". The one scene that most intrigued me was when Vader contacts the Emperor (thank you for using Verizon). The Emperor tells Vader to kill Luke, but Vader responds with "He's only a boy" and convinces the Emperor that he could turn him to the dark side. So, in reality, he's saying, don't kill my son. The one thing that did confuse me was his reaction to the news of Luke being his son after stating that his last name was "Skywalker" throughout the first half of the movie. Unless, of course, Skywalker is the Smith of a galaxy far far away. His "how is that possible?" line makes me wonder what he thinks happened to his child(ren). THREE MORE DAYS!

Today we are going over to [livejournal.com profile] maybemanda's for a BBQ. She just finished her second year of Med School and want's to par-tay before she dissappears into her books for that 3rd year. Hopefully the weather will behave it self. It did the T-storm thing last night so today should be nice, right?

Hey, yeah...I never thought of that before. LOL, "the 'Smith' of a galaxy far, far away"!

Well, I think Lucas did change his mind about what Luke's last name was supposed to be a couple times before settling on Skywalker, maybe something got confused in the writing? Or maybe Anny just has a horrible memory for names, like I do!
*taps forehead* Mind like a steel... seive.

AD and I were talking and now I think he might have just been trying to play it off. Like, he already had this plan that he would find Luke and they would team up and kill the Emperor and take over. Then the emperor calls and says that Luke is the son of Anakin, and Vader has to be like "Oh really? I did not know that!". Since Vader does ask Luke to join him so they can be a father son team.
