what a mess!

Well today we had an ice cream adventure. Went to have sushi and then went to dairy queen for desert (as it was next door). I asked for soft chocolate ice cream dipped in chocolate. Seemed like a dream. Then we walked outside for some strange reason...and when the heat this thing, it started to melt. But it didn't seem like anything I couldn't handle. So we got into AD's car, since I needed to get home to get ready for work. We got out of the parking lot and about 2 seconds down the road when the chocolate coating, which had been sealing in the melted ice cream, started to give way at the bottom of the cone. Chocolate started streaming out of it, and I could hardly keep up with it. I was like "PULL OVER!!!" since it was about to cover me or AD's car, and I decided neither was a good idea. I had to jump out of the car at the Amoco station and pretty much lick the left over chocolate coating off so I could get to the ice cream and get it under control. Ridiculous. My hands were covered in chocolate. Icky and sticky.

It's just been one of those weeks. Yesterday I came home and Adrian had found a streaming video of an interview with Howie about his new album. I watched the thing, at first with a sort of skeptical glare. But the more I watched the more I missed old Howie. The live shows in sketchy places. Hanging out afterwards and talking about music. I started to tear up near the end. I miss that boy. He was the first rock star I've known haha. Sorta got me on the road to this whole DJ career too. If it hadn't been for Howie, I wouldn't have met Adrian. I wouldn't have gotten into the independant music scene. I wouldn't have expanded my record colletion to over 1000 CDs.

Anyway, I think I weirded AD out. It's just that I spent a lot of time on Howie, on supporting him and promoting his shows and going to his shows and I felt like part of something different. But now Howie really doesn't need me anymore. He's all growed up. His new album is going to be great, the production sounds so much better than Australia and the first single is very catchy. *sigh* At least I have Stephen and Rockwell Church to take care of now. But Howie will always be my first.

Yeah, traffic guy is calling now, need to quit typing. Toodle pip

pet peeve

When you write a person a huge e-mail with questions and comments on something they ASKED you to comment on and they reply in one phrase like "you're cool".

I took the time to write a big note, take the time to write back and at least answer teh questions I posed.

*sigh* I probably wouldn't care if I got e-mail from humans on a regular basis. But now it's all spam all the time.

I typed in "Samantha" but it was lame...but I go by Sam anyway so....
