yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me!

jimithingy *cough*aquired*cough* a copy of Sid Meier's Pirates and I installed it on my computer last night. And now Sammy Z is a Baron and one of the most notorious pirates on the high seas...except for that one time when I ran into that English ship and got sent to Port Royale. But OTHERWISE the most FEARED pirate. And quite a good dancer too! He was romancing the ladies (I'm a little perturbed I couldn't make a sexy female pirate but whatever, I've moved on).



It's been pretty slow here at the library today. I've read my e-mail, and my flist...and then read them again, spammed some friends...I showed a few of the librarians the 1974 Weight Watcher's Recipe cards, which had them in tears. And that's about it for excitment. I just had a patron come in and ask me to access their computer from here. wtf? She said she wasn't very computer literate, I'd have to say that was an understatement. It was amusing slowly realizing what she was asking of me. That she wanted me to retrieve a file from her computer which was broken and in the shop. Hm. *looks for magic wand* nope, can't find it!

One Hour Left. It has been a long day. No where near as insane as Crofton was yesterday, but isn't that how the story goes. Went to BK for dinner last night and completed wave 4 of the star wars toys. Now I just need waves 5 & 6 and my set will be COMPLETE! I don't know if I've ever completed a set before! So exciting...in a nerdy way.

Speaking of nerdy, my copy of "Star Wars and Philosophy" came in today. Looks interesting. Hopefully it will be an easier read than the Buffy version, which I didn't care for very much...though they were obsessed with Faith in that book which made it a bit of a broken record. Perri just told me the library crew might go see RotS this saturday, so I need to finish the book. I'm halfway there. Obi is leaving to find Grievous, Anakin is brooding, Padme is preggers...

I have been feeling weird all week. Ever since we stayed up late for "Serenity". My throat has been scratchy (though today it just feels swollen). My eyes feel puffy too! Oh god, did I say I could die happy after seeing Serenity? Am I being struck down? I didn't mean it!!!! At least, not until it's official release in September....

Oh, and for those of you who didn't watch LOST all season, it starts over again tonight at 10pm! *jedi mind trick* you will watch the pilot again.

Okay, back to scrolling through my f-list to see if to_each_her_own is as bored as I am and responding to my comments before I can even hit "post reply".

Hey, whenever you get to reading that SW philosophy book, you have ot tell me if it's worth a read. I've been eye-balling it for a while now, but I keep hesitating because I never finished the Buffy one. o.O
