best of times, worst of times

So, today was a ping-pong kind of day.

First, I woke up feeling very dizzy - this was a bad thing.
So, since I had my alarm set early to do my work out, I decided to set it for another hour and sleep in - this was good.
Then I got up and got myself ready to go and noticed that it was a rainy, gray kind of day - bad.
But I got myself together with just enough time to spin by the post office and pick up my package! (THANK YOU beckanon!!!) - this was very good.
Then I drove to work.
(While in the car, I started to fiddle with the tape on my package while I sat at a red light. It was sort of half-hearted, until my iPod decided to play the Buffy theme, then I took that as a sign and ripped into the package and found two Darla figures that I did not have!!! Weeee!)
Then I got to work, and still felt dizzy
But then Marion asked me if I was losing weight because she said I looked thinner (and the outfit I was wearing today just became my most favorite outfit ever)
Then work - it was sooooooooooo slow today. The rain kept everyone away.
But I got a lot of backroom stuff done, so that went well, AND I got to have lunch/dinner with my co-workers (the last few weeks our schedules have just missed each other due to meetings and staffing that day)
Then we watched the clock for a few hours.
Somehow we managed to get everyone out of the library by 8:55!
Got home and Veronica Mars was DVR'd for me!!!

I'm still dizzy but, hey, a day where you get free toys is ALWAYS a good day!!!

Coupling

I've started watching 'Coupling' ! A co-worker lent my the season 1 dvd and I loved it! It's just so ridiculous! I know they attempted an "american" version but can't imagine them capturing the utter silliness of the show. Plus, there's no way they'd get away with any of the jokes on American TV.

Honestly, I never would have picked it up if she hadn't told me about it. The whole premise just sounds awful - a comedy about nothing but sex? How's that gonna work? But it does!

Also, for all your Captain Norrington fangirls out there, Jack Davenport plays the male lead in the series. And apparently the female lead, Sarah Alexander, will be in the movie version of Neil Gaiman's 'Stardust'!

In other fandom "squee" inducing news - Warren Ellis took pictures of Joss on his camera phone, and there was much rejoicing. Or at least giggling. How cool is it that these two guys are hanging out together?

And to top that off, jimithingy informed me that Warren is actually writing the TV show version of 'Castlevania'. Now THAT could be interesting. Or a total disaster. Either way, amusing.
