orangerful: (wow talks excitedly // orangerful)
so I logged into WoW to take Katchoo, my mage, for a quick bit of solo questing. I'm running around in an area with other characters and an invite pops up on my screen. Not really thinking, I assume it's one of the people around me, and accept, thinking I can get the quest done faster. Then I see that it's a full party of 5 - actually 5 of my guild mates - and if I had been paying attention they were setting up a Sunken Temple run. Now, I am pretty n00bish to be going there (lvl 46) but I was like, what the heck!

so...3 hours later, I have a couple new blue items in my bank and I'm now a lvl 47, but I accidentally misplaced my Friday night! haha. Not that I had big plans, but wow, 3 hours flies by when you're sheeping Witch doctors!

That's okay though, because tomorrow will be get-the-apartment-back-together day! So probably no WoWz. But lots of action figure organizing, random posting, and I'll probably be on IM (or at least, near the computer with my typical "aboot" away message up).

And then '300' on Sunday!!!! *squee*!!!

Nathan Fillion has a new movie on the way - Waitress. It actually stars Keri ("Felicty") Russell, but Nathan is the romantic lead. It looks cute. Probably worth renting when it comes out on dvd. Though it reminds me a lot of 'Like Water For Chocolate', the Mexican film from a few years back, also about a woman who is miserable in her married life and uses cooking to help her cope (that was the short short version there, like most films, there's a LOT more going on in the story). If you haven't seen it, I definitely recommend putting it on your "to view" list.

'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' premiered on the WB (in the US) 10 years ago today.

As usual, I missed it.

Yes, the show that I obsess about, drool over, fangirl at innocent passers-by about - I didn't start watching until the summer of season 4. *hangs head in shame*

But I figured this was a time for memories - so I ask you, what was the first episode of 'Buffy' you ever saw? And what made you sit down and watch a show with such a silly title?

It may not look like much, but this is the sunset from the beach on Fitzroy Island in Australia.  And I took it while sitting there one evening back in 1998.  Definately one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen and probably one of my favorite pictures that I took while there.  It was just an 18 day trip, but still one of the best times I think I've ever had in my life.  Someday, I'll get back there...
