dress up!

Okay, so I've decided that I really want to dress up as Melaka Fray for Comic Con next year (and possibly Halloween...though no one would know who I was...okay back to Comic Con).

Anyway, the basics of the outfit seems pretty easy to find - cargo pants, tank top, paint on a tattoo and her scar. Build myself a raygun and a slayer scythe...

But her hair. It's 2 different colors - either black/dark blue and a purple/ pink at the end.

So...I don't think it's wise for me to actually dye my hair that many colors. (Probably an expensive dye job too.) So, do any of my costume making buddies have any suggestions for what to do about all that? Suggestions? I am such a n00b at this. But I really want to have a cool costume!

(I googled "Fray" to see if anyone had done it before and I didn't get a million pictures so I might even be sorta unique, which makes me want to do it even more!)

Warren Ellis is at it yet again

Warren Ellis and Paul Duffield are creating an online comic. I clicked the link that he posted and for some odd reason it took me to MySpace...but now I found the blog and it's actually hosted by Wordpress. Very confusing.

ANYWAY - some good soul has already created an LJ feed for it! w00t! freakangels! So add it to your Flist if you're a comic book/Warren Ellis fan.

There are some older posts of some of the artwork already up, pretty neat looking stuff. I'm a sucker for free comics, especially if they are sent to my friends lists so I don't have to remember to check the site...

Uh oh - a new World of Warcraft expansion has been announced! Wrath of the Lich King

I just love that one of the new things is "NEW HAIRSTYLES!" hahaha.

"Yes, yes, this gameplay and new level cap is all well and good, but I am just sick of having last years hair!"

I still need to level Katchoo up to 70 and get Inara some fattie loots. Of course, if this expansion is like the last one, I could just wait around until it comes out and getting better green drops than anything purple I might find now. *snicker*

In my ongoing mission to see exactly how much crap I can cram into a sidebar, LibraryThing has finally created a widget that works on Livejournal. Or, at least, they are beta-testing it. I seem to have gotten it to work.

Shelfari said it had widgets, but I couldn't get any of them to install. They are far prettier, but when I plugged one in, it same I needed Adobe Flash Player 9 (which I got and it still didn't work) and the other one gave me an "invalid video code". My coding knowledge is pretty basic though, so it might just be that they widget technology is not compatible with livejournal. *shrug*

In other new - Alton Brown's new season of 'Feasting on Asphalt' starts TOMORROW! You might want to set your DVR so you don't miss it. We just watched the first episode from last year's road trip adventure, and it was informative and funny! (especially when he ate that pickled pig's foot!). Food Network, 9pm.
