What Book Got You Hooked?

What Book Got You Hooked was featured today on whedonesque because Neil Patrick Harris submitted his childhood favorite. But there are lots of other celebrities worth checking out (Stephen Colbert, John Krasinksi and BJ Novak, to name a few).

I love their comments and wish that parents and teachers would take them to heart -- sometimes the best book is one shared with a loved on or read just for the pleasure of reading. Sometimes I think adults try to hard to figure out what is "best" for a child, and they discount some books that would entertain a new reader and inspire them to try other things.
