need a little Christmas...

YAY! I haz a tree!...okay I've had the tree up and decorated since Saturday but forgot to post about it. :) maybedeadcat and his daughter came over and helped me cover it in ornaments. I snagged two boxes of Disney ornaments from my parents so there are a LOT of animated characters on that tree. Also found my favorite ornament from my childhood - angel Garfield!



Bad news though - my printer has decided to crap out on me. No idea what it's problem is. Gave me a vague error message and would do nothing. maybedeadcat fought with it for an hour or so and it pretended to be fixed...but when you press print, it makes all the right noises then just spits out a blank page :( Boo. So much for my homemade cards.

Good news is that I *think* the mix CD is done. I listened to the first version on my car today and realized I forgot one song completely and wanted to use a different mix of another. So yes, now I think it is where i want it. :) Hopefully you all will like it.

Hm, it's after midnight, I need to get to bed! THIS TIME TOMORROW I WILL BE WATCHING THE HOBBIT!!!!EEEEEEEE!!!!

45 minutes until I leave work and head home to get ready for HOBBIT!
EEEE!!!!!!!!!! So excite! It's probably good that I had a meeting this
afternoon because no work would have been done if I had been here anyway
LOL.

OH and Saturday, maybedeadcat, caroljen and KMu are
going to a Legwarmers concert
at Rams Head Live in Baltimore. I've never been before but Carol says it's
total 80s goofiness and fun and dancing and I love dancing around. I have
my white jeans I bought last month and have yet to dye so I figure I can
wear those...maybe I will cut up an old t-shirt or something for a top.
Will have to poof out my hair a bit and maybe put on some ridiculous eye
shadow. I have some sparkly hair spray somewhere too...

Star Trek - Into Darkness

Okay, if the last Star Trek movie was not a direct remake of the original
Star Trek movie, why does everyone appear to want 'Into Darkness' to be a
remake of 'Wrath of Khan'??? It makes no sense to me. Plus, WoK was
actually a *good* Star Trek movie and does not need to be remade, so this
obsession with saying that Cumberbatch is playing Khan annoys me.

The 9-minute preview in front of the IMAX Hobbit apparently does not give
any additional clues to his identity, though they do reveal the identity of
the blonde woman who is the same character as the doctor in WoK - BUT BUT
BUT - in WoK she is already Kirk's baby mama, and here she is clearly a
sweet young innocent thing, yet to be corrupted by James.

Anyway, I really hope that Cumberbatch is not Khan. I hope that Abrams and
his Co. are just torturing us with all these nods and winks to the classic
series but have been wise enough to create either a new character or pull
someone so random from classic Trek that it will be new to us and amuse the
die hard fans...

...of course, this is also the group that made LOST so I shouldn't really
put any faith in them what so ever...
