There are several friendzy posts up on LJ right now and I just want to say that if you want to unfriend/follow me, IT IS OKAY. I won't take it personally, we all have our own things we like to talk about and if you don't find my random posts that engaging, I am giving you permission to unfriend, guilt free. :)

It is weird how we all get so caught up in the friend/follow of social media and feel obligated to continue to follow people even if we have drifted apart.

So, yes, I am going to turn around and count to ten and if you unfriend me, it is alright, no harm, no foul.

LOL yes I know this is an odd post right after I added a bunch of people, but while organizing my flist, I looked at all the people I supposedly follow and there were a lot of names I didn't recognize and also a lot that LJ was NOT emailing to me so I didn't know they were even posting and I guess they didn't miss my comments either. So, yeah.

Oh snap, it's 1am! I need to sleep! TOODLES!

I'm currently many many hours into Witcher 3. I did play Witcher and the sequel before this so I am familiar with the characters that appeared in the game, though I have not read the novels (we own them because Tim played the games before me so they were easy gifts that holiday season...but this also means they don't have due dates and as a librarian I have problems reading things that don't have due dates to threaten me).

ANYWAY I ship Triss and Geralt because of this. Yennefer annoyed me immediately when she appeared in Witcher 3 and I *know* they were the power couple before this but I just don't feel it, so I had Geralt pursue Triss pretty much from the start and did her quest line immediately and they totally got it on in the lighthouse.

But this weekend I did a bunch of quests with Yennefer and ended up doing her special side quest. And when we got to the moment where I could have made Geralt say he didn't feel anything for her anymore, I couldn't do it and I had him say he loved her.

BUT follow my thinking -- he does love her. I don't doubt that. We all love many people in our lives and our lifetimes and even if we part ways, we have feelings for them. So I don't feel like I was stringing Yennefer along (though I kinda felt bad when they kissed but I did have Geralt decline her sexual advances right after).

Anyone else ever have guilt after a video game romance choice?? Like, I feel really bad! I don't think the game will be like Dragon Age or Mass Effect where the characters will find out and get mad at Geralt. But still, sorry Yen. If you weren't so obnoxious with your constant sarcasm and not giving a shit because you're a sorceress.

P.S. yes I am excited about The Witcher Netflix series BUT I am going to whine about how Henry Cavill is way too pretty. I hope they scratch up his face a bit more, Geralt should have his sexy scars. No real monster hunter would be so smooth skinned.
