Revenge of the Sith : The Abridged Script <---- funny stuff.

I did a run to get milk and came home with several baggies. One of them did indeed have milk in it. The other had burritos for lunch and a star wars towel from Target. I have to say, I had given in and was about to pay $15 for my towel, and when it was rung up, it was only $9.45 and I was in shock. So yay, I have a Jedi towel now, that folds up into a backpack full of towel...there is a slight flaw in the design, I admit, but at least it will be easy to carry to the pool slung over my shoulder rather than balance on my arm. I forgot to buy my own sunblock though, something I will do tomorrow morning as it is CRAZY HOT outside and I'm not going back out if I don't have to.

Last night, something behind our Washer/Dryer started dripping. This was around 1:30am. I haven't checked to see if it's still going....now it seems to have stopped. Our AC and stuff is still running so I don't think it's that. *shrugs* I dunno and I don't feel like going back outside to find a maintenance person. I wasn't going to wash clothes today anyhow.

So the goal today is to play as little of Sims 2 as possible. I played far too much yesterday. I think I'm going to try and finish off my scrapbook. Unfortunatley, the actual book that I bought to put it in is nowhere NEAR big enough to hold all the pages. So I'm gonna have to find a binder. Thing is, scrapbook pages are all wonky, so I can't just get a normal binder, I gotta get a huge binder. Ah well.

OH and I think our Burger King was holding out on me today. I did a dash in to see what figures they had, and I saw a kid leaving with a Watto and got all excited. When I asked the girl what toys they had, she pulled out 2 - Boba and Tarful. That's it. So I bought Tarful and went home to pout. Maybe it was because it was a Sunday or something I dunno. I'll check again tomorrow, either at this BK or the one in Annapolis. They only showed AD one toy on Wednesday as well, maybe there's new managment or something.

Okay, time for lunch and scrapbooking....possibly a DVD while I do that.

I just kept cracking up all the way through it. I posted it on one of the harry potter communities. They have a place called [livejournal.com profile] muggle_elite for posts of all things non-Harry Potter related.

That script was so funny. I think the one that made me laugh hardest was the "life support controls on the chest" part. Mainly because I had a moment where I was like "who would be dumb enough to.... OHHHHHH" LOL

*laughs* That script is pretty funny. :) But, I like the annoying iguana's sounds. :D It did bring up a good point, though... why exactly does Obi-Wan tell Yoda in ESB that Luke is their only hope? He's not sexist, is he??? o.O

I liked Boga's sounds too. Yeah, I dunno if we're just supposed to think that Obi was senile in his old age (how did he not recognize R2 and 3PO?) or it's just another classic Lucas flub.

I'm wondering if Obi-Wan is just keeping up his ruse in ANH... I think he says he doesn't recall ever owning a droid, which, being a Jedi, of course he wouldn't have owned property. :D Besides, with how similar the astromechs and protocol droids look, maybe he just didn't realize that they were the two he had previously met. :)
Now, I'm wondering why Obi-Wan out-right lied to Luke in saying that his father wanted him to have his lightsaber. I don't ever remember that conversation taking place. ;D And, as far as the book was pointing to, Anakin had thought that his offspring was a girl, anyhow. I'm so confused. *laughs*

haha, yeah I realized that there was never a line for Anakin saying that he hoped his child would be a jedi. So I had all this made up dialogue for Obi-Wan after he picks up Anakin's lightsaber:

"btw, I'm taking this, and I'm gonna give it to your kid and tell him I kicked your ass!"

"hey, you want me to give this to your kid or something?"

"You don't get to keep this, and I'm giving it to your kid and telling him you were a total JERK!"

I felt is was very sloppy of Lucas not to put anything in about that line, it's such an important line. In the prequels, you feel like Anakin really loved his children-to-be, you have these visions of him talking to Obi-Wan about his kids and his dreams...but instead Lucas created the rigid Jedi Order where you aren't allowed to love and all that stuff...*sigh* I enjoy the prequels, but the story I created in my mind works so much better...

*laughs* That's so naughty, Obi-Wan! ;D

Seriously! There are so many OT lines that I thought would've been hella cool had they been referred to in the prequels, besides the 'I have a bad feeling about this' bit. I wish he would've had Obi-Wan tell Anakin that he thought he was the 'best starpilot in the galaxy' because I always sensed a bit of regret in his voice when he tells Luke about Anakin. I just thought it would've been really touching. :( Heck, I hate it that the only time you even really see Anakin happy about the pregnancy is when Padme first tells him, and in that itty-bitty second at the beginning of the conversation where he tells Padme that she's sounding like a Separatist. *sighs* Even in the end, he's all upset about Padme dying, and doesn't even take the time to ask if his offspring survived. I'd love to think that Anakin adored his future children, but I just didn't really get that from the film. I suppose he was a bit preoccupied with fulfilling his own needs. *shakes head*

Yeah, Anakin was more obsessed with Padme than the child(ren). Perhaps it was his materialism, he only cared about what he currently had in his possesion (Padme). You'll notice that all he ever talks about is saving her, and her dying and Padme's first reaction is "and the baby?" They weren't physically there, so Anakin really didn't care for them as much. Which is too bad, I wish he could have been happier about it. Padme talks about moving back to Naboo and raising their children and he never really chimes in with how he feels about family (something that you'd think he'd really want after losing his mother).

I hadn't even thought about that! But, I did get a little teeny 'squee' aspect from him when he told her how beautiful she was. I don't think it was simply in regards to her physical beauty, but the beauty he saw in her as the mother of his child(ren). *shrugs*

yeah, though I think they went overboard with her makeup in that scene to make the audience feel she was "glowing" with pregnant beauty. I think it might be Natalie's most least attractive scene. Wonder if it was a pickup, since she appears to have a tan that she does not have the rest of the film....

Yeah, I knew that they were trying to convey that glowing mommy vibe, but I thought she looked a little sickly. *shrugs* I wish they would've put the scenes with her peacock and brown ensemble... that was so beautiful, and I thought that the scenes with her wearing it involved the birth of the Rebellion, but I could be wrong. :)

I hope Lucas puts all of the deleted scenes on this DVD....there are so many, especially when it comes to Padme's storyline, that I really wish could have made the final cut.

I'm sure he will. I was a bit surprised that they released the Mon Mothma figure when she's barely a spck in the current edition of the film. o.O

Yeah, Padme totally got down-played in this film... hell, in the entire saga. :(

don't get my started! When I saw that pretty much ALL of the deleted scenes in AotC were about building up Padme's character, I was totally miffed at George. He makes some comment that "it really wasn't that important" so he cut the scene, and I was like "omg, it was character development you dufus! cut down the 30 minute battle at the end that was cool twice but bores me now!"

I was only a little upset. Most of that sprang from how strong a character Leia was and I was upset that Padme sorta got the shaft when it came to really explaining who she was.

Oh, I know... especially in light of how in RotS, Padme was clearly depicted as being Luke's avatar, so to speak. One of the fangirls pointed out that Padme was the model of compassion in the prequels... and it's that same compassion that redeems Vader. How can that not be important? I don't get it...

you know, I never even thought of Luke and Padme that way, that really helps to connect the prequels and Luke's story a bit more. Grrrr to George for deleting her scenes! She was so much more than her crazy hairdos.

Heh, it had to be pointed out to me, too. ;D

She was so much more than her crazy hairdos.

*laughs* But you're right... she really is. I'm still a bit irked at her for checking out so quick, though. ;)
