what was supposed to be a quiet 4 hour work day turned into 8 hours haha. I feel the need to purchase a red cape and stamp PTH on the back so I can be "SUPER PTH!", flying from branch to branch in a single bound.

blu_harvest ROXORS! Not only did he ask how I was feeling after reading my blog today, but he picked up a "Who's Your Daddy?" Darth Vader poster for me over the weekend!!! I am so spoiled!



My desk at home is a disaster area. Toys and books and my scanner are all over the floor. I should really take a picture because it is out of control. I need to finish scanning the 'art of star wars' books I checked out so I can send some of the pics to spitefairy so we can use them for sw_challenge (which, btw, you all need to join...if only to vote on icons so you can break the damn 5-way ties that seem to happen each week!).

GoDaddy.com has not let me upload the website yet. Grrrrr. I have great plans for the new webspace that has been set aside for "orangerful.com" but alas I cannot access it!! Not only will I have all my icons, but I think I'm going to catalog my current collectibles so I can show everyone how pretty they are.

jimithingy's birthday is next week. I'm attempting to brainstorm shopping ideas...none of which I'm really satisfied with yet. *sigh* he needs to be scarily obsessed with something like me so I can just buy him stuff like that haha.

Hmmm, I had something else to say but now I've forgotten it...patron asked me a question, can you believe it? Right in the middle of my blogging session! the nerve! haha. Ah well, it will come back to me later, I'll realize it was lame, and then I'll not post it.

EDIT I remembered!!! Harry Potter midnight madness! It looks like Borders and Barnes&Nobles are both doing events for the night of (july 15th). Who wants to come with me?? Please....someone...anyone? B&N starts their party at 8 and Borders starts at 9. I figure I'll call them and see if they reccomend pre-ordering the book there before coming to the party or what. But this sounds like it could be fun!

well, you can always enter just for the fun of it. I won some contests with non-pretty icons just because they were funny (my Luke dangling from the spire on Bespin with the text "I can see my X-Wing from Here!" comes to mind).

Your lighting technique needs honing when you're doing an entire icon colored PURPLE! something that won't happen...that often...*makes note to have a purple themed challege at sw_challenge*

GoDaddy fixed their issues last night and I got half of my website uploaded. I need to fix it as I had it set up wrong in FrontPage and the links are going to all the wrong places within my site. I'm off that day, and have a wedding to go to on the 16th, but it's for my cousin, and he and his wife-to-be are both total geeks too, so I'm thinking HP as a wedding present. (She's already posted a pout in her LJ about not getting the book because of her wedding and how that was probably screwed up priorities. LOL)

Yay, fun! Is that a local store for you guys? I can't seem to find any small bookstores anymore, it's all Borders and B&N around here.

DK isn't really local, but I don't think there are any of them outside of TN. It's big like B&N and Borders, but it was one of the first big bookstores in Nashville for a while I think. At least since I've been alive. There was only one other I can think of, and it used to be a movie theater.. it was awesome. But then B&N bought it out and it went out of business a few months later. :(

I might try and spin by the B&N on my way home from babysitting tomorrow to see if I can get the skinny on what they plan to do (especially since they are starting an hour earlier than Borders)
