reading makes our speaking english good
Jul. 18th, 2005 01:20 amYeah, so I'm the only one of my friends who hasn't read past chapter 3 of HBP. It's been a very FULL weekend, to say the least.
Friday was Harry Potter midnight madness, I was able to squeeze in one chapter that night before passing out from exhaustion. Saturday, I woke up and headed over to the library for the Star Wars collector's club meeting, where, as usual, I spent way too much money and had a whole lotta fun. Finally got my Jedi Force Yoda, and 'Star Wars and Philosophy', along with the rest of the cartoon-style pins from PinUsa, so now I have the complete set. And I also managed to get an Angel action figure for Adrian and a Giles for myself. Then I came home and played Guild Wars with
jimithingy and
zaubervz for a little bit. Then we met up with
dstntp1lgr1m and saw a late showing of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (which was a LOT of fun). We even convinced
verdatum to sneak away from his sister's birthday party to come watch the show (SORRY
toothlesshag!!!> Anyway, we didn't get home from that until 12:30, then we had a very late dinner then we went to bed.
Woke up today thinking I'd have the whole day free, but I got a call from Alex saying that if I wanted to see RotS one last time, Skylor was bugging him to go see it. How could I say no? So I saw the 12:30 showing of RotS and spent the movie attempting to cover Snowden and Skylor's eyes in time. I ended up covering their eyes for the entire face melting sequence between Mace and Palpy. For some reason, Snowden was really concerned about where Mace went. I told her palpy pushed him out the window. Skylor knew something bad happened to Anakin on Mustafar, so as soon as Obi and Anakin started fighting in the lava, he said he was too scared and wanted to leave. Snowden said she was fine and wanted to see what happened to Padme. haha. I'm happy I got to see the movie on the big screen one last time, even if it was with a wiggly 3 year old in my lap. Also got to see the Chronicles of Narnia trailer! OMG that looks gooood!
Came home and played even more Guild Wars with Adrian. Then I decided I wanted to clean off my desk since I had lost control of the clutter. There is always clutter, but the clutter that was there for display was fighting with the junk mail and random bits of paper clutter. It had to end. So it's pretty now. Did a bit of re-arranging, put a few things in boxes. I'm quite proud of how it turned out, especially my little Yoda section.

We just finished watching Six Feet Under, since we missed the 9pm showing because Family Guy was also new. Now I really am going to read some Harry Potter! Currently, there is nothing on the schedule for tomorrow, so I'm thinking I'll drag my butt over to the library and do some of this core reference stuff that I say I'll do every week but don't do. I'm running out of time though, I only have 2 months left. Eep!!!
OH and for those of you that never saw Firefly -- or know people who have never seen Firefly -- Sci-Fi channel will be re-airing the episodes starting July 22nd. And get this, they will run them IN ORDER! Crazy people they got over at Sci-fi channel....
