lazy sam-day
Aug. 1st, 2005 06:10 pmYes, so I spent my day off doing absolutely nothing productive, save for writing out the rent check. That was it. The rest of the day I just hung out, with no where to go. God it felt GOOD! I finally tried out God of War with
zauber_vz let me borrow ages ago. That game is a whole lotta fun. And it just looks fantastic! I'm pretty much a button masher, but I'm slowly learning the best moves for each beastie. I must have played for 3 hours, while
jimithingy was trying to figure out what parts to order for his poor dead computer. He thinks it's either the motherboard or the power supply that's dead.
Then I went back to Sims 2, my favorite way to waste time. Sent a few of the kids off to college, so now I have to go over there and play with them. They just completed the first semester of their freshman year, all with passing grades! I think only two of them have undeclared majors. There's Bariss, who has the popularity aspiration. Her lifetime goal is to be Mayor, so she is majoring in political science. Laertes, with money aspiration, wants to major in biology. Kit, with a knowledge aspiration, is majoring in Physics. They have two friends from town that I sent to school with them. Sadly, I've already forgotten their names, but one of them is a girl who is also a knowledge aspiration and she's majoring in bio as well. (Her and Laertes really hit it off, I'm thinking of making them a couple if I can). Another friend of Laertes is there as well, he's got the money aspiration and wants to be a hall of famer some day. He's still undeclared.
Then we ate ribs and watched Six Feet Under. Then I started making some icons and chatted with
destertale and we LOST POWER! The entire block, even the giant across the street. It was ridiculous because it was so freakin' dark and we didn't have any flashlights in the right spots because of the last power outage. So I was at my desk and afraid to move because i knew there were books and bags all around me. Ridiculous. They got the power back on right after I had given up and settled into bed.
Today was equally as quiet. Played a bit of Sims 2. Watched the Angel season 4 featurette while eating lunch. Now I'm at work. Good times. Tomorrow is
zauber_vz's birthday! And we're all going out for sushi! Yum.

Date: 2005-08-03 02:19 am (UTC)Heh, I watched B play God of War once... that's one intense game! Have you gotten to a point where he 'indulges' in some ladies to get his strength, or health, or whatever back up? o.O *laughs*
Isn't it crazy when all the power is out, and you realize just how noisy a world you live in? I always recognize that before I panic about how long the air will stay comfortable in the summer weather. *laughs* It's an eerie sort of quiet for me... *shrugs*

Date: 2005-08-03 03:25 am (UTC)We are all about the white noise here. We always have a fan on when we sleep, the computers are always on, TV is usually running. It's just crazy how comforting all that noise really is!
