Yes, you too can peer pressure your friends into getting a livejournal! It's simple! Just e-mail, and repeat.

Actually, I think [livejournal.com profile] persephones_rev is right, I do have the Force! I just did one quick Jedi mind trick, and now my buddy Alan has a livejournal! [livejournal.com profile] simontrueheart. I can already tell that reading his blog will get me in trouble on the desk. I'll be stifling the giggles. Ah yes, good times.

I just heard it through the grapevine that they *might* be hiring more library associates in Sept/Oct!!! I hope I can get in on that! I also hope that the openings are not at Brooklyn Park. *crosses fingers that they are at Western Area branches* Ooooh, wouldn't it suck if it was at Maryland City? Then I'd have to make [livejournal.com profile] zaubervz quit his job! That would be so mean! (they have this silly rule that relatives can't work in the same branch).

So, I bought myself a darth vader notebook while I was at Target yesterday. I am such a nerd. I love school supplies. I wish I was still in school just so I could have an excuse to buy a new pack of pens. But anyway, I'm trying to decide what I should write in my Darth Vader notebook. I feel as though it should be star wars themed. Perhaps a listing of all my collectibles? Maybe a record of how I aquired each of them? No clue. Give me ideas here people!

[livejournal.com profile] jimithingy finally got his computer fixed...and his monitor died. Well, not all of it. Just the color red. So everything on his screen is green now. Not fair. I'm going to try and spin by my 'rents house tomorrow to see if they have any old ones stashed away somewhere.

Also on the agenda for tomorrow - Serenity #2!! I'm going to hit up the comic shop before work.

I have a fine 17"(?) monitor you can have if you feel like hauling it back from Boston with you. It's not a flat panel, though (which is why I'm ditching it- no room!). Probably not the most practical way to acquire a monitor, but I thought I'd offer since it's sitting right here staring me in the face..

I used to get a trapper keeper every year (I just looked on ebay, and apparently there are "3 ring binders" with darth on them! I did not see those at Target or I would so own them). I used to collect stickers and put them all over my trapper keepers. Now they are in a closet somewhere full of goodness knows what...I think Disney drawings or print outs or something from a dot matrix printer that looked cool when I printed them but now just look ridiculous.

Everyone knows graph paper is for creating Metroid maps! Honestly, I never used so much of it until trying to play that game.

Jordi's visor was so my mom's hairclip painted silver. Seriously. I found a set of them that she had, one of them was pink, and I used to say it must have belonged to Gordi's girlfriend.

As strong as a small pony...

I'd say stronger! *laughs*

Ooohhh... I do so hope the library might be hiring, and at the locations that you'd prefer. I know how much you really want a more permanent position. *crosses fingers*

Heh, I picked up the Vader lunch box to take to work. And carry it proudly through the office, I do. :D Heh, I've picked up notebooks before, but end up refusing to write in them because I want to keep them pretty forever and ever. *laughs* One of my friends once gave me a set of stationary/cards for my birthday that were from Ralph McQuarrie's sketches. They're so gorgeous that they just sit on my shelf! *laughs*

I saw a Yoda lunchbox at our last star wars meeting. I'm gonna have to start checking the lunch box aisle for it. Gotta have my Yoda! haha.

I can write in the notebook, since all I want to keep pristine is the cover. Those notecards sound beautiful though! I probably would have put them on a shelf too!
