Global Frequency arrived for me today though ILL! And I don't know how I missed this - it's written by Warren Ellis, the same guy who writes 'transmetropolitan'!! I'm going to love it, I can tell.

two more hours! w00t!

oh man, Dave Barry...that brings back memories. I think I've read every single one of his books. Well, I've read a lot of them. hehe.

Right now, I'm on a weird Graphic Novel kick, and Global Frequency came up in a Joss Whedon intervew so I ordered it. One of my other LJ friends, [livejournal.com profile] vertigozooropa gave me a list of good adult comics (read: not manga, not superman, not T&A fest).

I read very random stuff. if there are any Douglas Adams books you haven't read, read those. Because I pretty much love everything he did. If you want non-fiction, I reccomend Sarah Vowell's "partyly cloudy patriot" (I'm pretty much just looking at my bookshelf right now trying to find something).

my god man, don't you know any librarians that can help you with these questions? ;-)

the hitchhiker's books are an aquired taste, people tend to love them or hate them. (I love them). Might want to try his detective - Dirk Gently. But I've also never been big into hardcore Sci-Fi books. Or fantasy for that matter. but at the same time, I tend to avoid "general fiction". Micheal Crichton is my pop-lit, I've read pretty much all of his stuff (I just started 'a case of need'which I somehow missed). I really can't tell you the last "real" book I read. I've been in graphic novel mode for a few months now hehe.
