the Jump,Little Children show was AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I have not had that much fun in awhile, as far as live music goes. Oh my gosh, let me tell YOU! Sadly, turns out that this is there last tour EVER! noooooooo!

ugh. It's so late. But I'm so hyper from the show. The singer...his voice is just so...wow! Like, you hear people sing on their albums, and you start to wonder if there is any way that they will sound that good live. I know I started to panic before the show, asking jimithingy if it was even possible for them to sound as good. But they can on stage and he just opened his mouth and it was just amazing! Plus, they hand the upright bass going, along with the mandolin, cello, harmonica and ACCORDIAN! Who knew!? (the guy who plays the accordian/harmonica/mandolin/very small pink guitar reminded me of Andrew from BtVS...very blonde hair and very flamboyant in a funny way).

Go to their site. Listen to their music. It's good stuff. Fantastic lyrics. I'm going on an all JLC kick tomorrow when get home, gonna load up the iPod with all their tunes.

crap! it's 2am! I gotta go to bed! babysitting tomorrow! Toodles!

I can always hope. :-) But i have a bad feeling that they were sick of being jerked around by the labels so they are taking a break. Though I noticed he said "last tour" not last album, or breaking up...so maybe they will release more music down the road.

oh my god i didn't know you know Jump, Little Children !!!!!!! that's so wild. my friend just told me about them a couple weeks ago, she loves them. we were listening to their cd on our drive back from the Green Day concert. wow. their last tour huh? where did you see them?

wait i just looked at the website and it says this:

"This fall will be the last full Jump tour for a while. Though you’ll start seeing it in the press (it’s great for our publicity team), we personally are going to shy away from the term “Final Tour” because Cher and KISS have been bandying that phrase around, falsely, for years. But at this point, we’re taking a break. A good long one.

The short explanation is this: we want to wind down with a bang. We love this job and don’t want to get to the point where we don’t."

haha, simontrueheart referenced Kiss, i wonder if she just said that or knew that was on their website.

anyway.......speaking of last tours, i'm seeing Q and Not U in Philly 9/21, their 3rd to last show EVER. craziness.

and for an interesting story, my friend who told me about Jump, Little Children, well she had tix to see Green Day last night in Philly, but the tickets were mailed to her home address in Massachusettes (she goes to U of DE), and she didnt realize it! so she didn't get to go to the concert. now that sucks.

AD has been listening to them for ages, and I never really paid any attention until Dim & the Dark...then I just got hooked. We own all the albums so now I'm just going thru them. I hope they come back, at least in CD format.

last show ever. So weird. I'm sure it will rock like crazy though! :-)

we saw them at the funk box...no wait, it's the 8 by 10! haha. There was some confusion there, apparently the place used to be the 8x10 club, then it was sold to someone who redid the inside and changed the name to Funk Box, then everyone in B'more knew the 8x10 better, so they changed the name back. It was silly.

Either way, nice tiny venue, with impressively good sound for a place that small!
