Apparently I totally missed this when it aired last year (on Bravo so that's probably why) but I downloaded Long Way Round and watched the first episode on Monday night. It was really good. Of course, they haven't actually done anything yet, the first episode was just them getting the idea and attempting to organize it. Originally I was gonna netflix the show, but it's not out on DVD yet. So they drove me to the torrents!! Anyhoo, as Ferris Beuller says, if you have the means, I hightly suggest picking one up.

Weather today is tres gloomy. It's hard to feel motivated with all these clouds in the sky. I'm at Linthicum today, a nice 5 hour shift. Brought a donut for a snack and Everything Bad is Good for you to read while on break. I ordered a bunch of Aimee Mann CDs the other day, and it looks like they all arrived at West County today, and I'm working there tomorrow so that will be a grab bag of fun. PLUS, Global Frequency vol 2 finally arrived and the next tpb of Transmetropolitan! So, as fitting with the current trend, I return one book and check out 4. haha.

Now that I have red hair, I color in my eyebrows every morning to match. It's so very weird to have eyebrows. I mean, my little blonde wispy things were hardly noticeable. Now I have auburn eye brows. They can't actually dye your eyebrows, since the chemicals would mess you you up.

I want to order the Veronica Mars DVDs from Netflix but I haven't watched any of my current DVDs! I need to just sit down and watch House of Flying Daggers and get it over with. I've had it for 2 months now! And Neverhwere, which I was waiting to watch with Damian and Paul. Unforgiven just arrived so I feel like I can wait a bit on that one.

We watched an episode of My Name is Earl last night. What a random show. It was pretty funnny though. Unfortunately, it's on up against House which will be starting up again in November.

I just finished reading it for a book club in one of my communities and posted discussion topics. haha. I might have to look for that though...

actually (and I didn't know this until I read the book and was looking for more info on it) it was ORGINALLY a TV mini-series in the UK, then Gaiman turned it into a book. The TV series was co-written by Gaiman and Lenny Henry!!! Which just blows my mind, as I know Henry as Chef! from the Britcom.

What did you think of the book? I really liked it. It's the only Gaiman novel I've ever read. Everything else was Sandman.

I really liked it a lot....It's the only one for me as well. I've read Good Omens but that was a collaboration. I have American Gods because someone dropped it off in the book trade. So I grabbed it up. haha.

Wait, you can color eyebrows?? I'm just curious; I had red hair for like, two years before I cut it all off, but I never did anything to my eyebrows...

yeah, I didn't know about all this either. If you go to any store that has cosmetics (we just ran into giant) they have things called "brow pencils" which seem to be just make up pencils, then you sorta color over your eyebrow unti it matches.

yep, the Eastwood film. I somehow missed it when it originally came out and won the oscar...I think I was like "cowboys ew" or something. But when I was up in Maine, for some reason my Uncle Jim was ranting about it and I realized I had never watched it.

btw - we need to be "friends" on netflix so we can harass each other on current viewing choices hehe.

Tombstone I actually did see at least twice. I enjoyed it alot, though after being forced to watch Kevin Costner's overly long "Wyatt Earp" movie, Tombstone was 4 stars haha.
