Rock Star

You scored 92%!

You damn rock star. You know all the basics, and if you got any wrong,
I bet it was that stupid Traveling Wilburys question.
Your friends are probably intimidated by your knowledge of classic rock
and envy your impressive collection. When a classic rock song comes on
the radio, you can probably identify it before the vocals kick in most
of the time. You probably get good scores on the "maiden name of
Clapton's mom" tests, too.

My test tracked 1 variable How you compared to other people your age and gender:
free online datingfree online dating
You scored higher than 76% on notes

The questions I missed were probably the ones about 70s-80s rock, which is not classic rock, not yet. So it's not fair to lump it in there. I got the Wilbury's one because any Beatles fan would know that.

98%!

which puts me only in the 68th percentile for my g-g-generation.

merci for saying that 80s music is not classic rock. Classic rock is rock that was called classic rock when the term was first used. (hmm, now I'm curious as to when that was..) I don't think you should be able to keep redefining classic rock as each decade passes. And anyway, how could Morrissey be classic rock? It just isn't right.

I got 74%, and the questions I didn't get were utterly foreign to me.

What I did know was who the Travelling Wilburys were. There was only one remotely good answer. Orbison, Petty, Dylan...

i knew that because I actually listened to them for awhile, when I was in my Beatles worshipping phase...actually I still worship the beatles, but pretty much just listen to the beatles stuff now and not so much the solo work. Plus, my beatles research that I did at the time made me familiar with lots of "classic rock". But again, I protest the inclusion of John "cougar" mellencamp. I don't care if it's the year 2020, 'Jack and Diane' is not classic rock!

The Veteran You scored 78%!

You've picked up the majority of the classic rock basics. You probably have a classic rock collection and can sing along with most of the songs on your local radio station. This is not the highest score, but it is arguably the best : that subtle combination of impressive knowledge and not being a pretentious geek.

*laughs* I'm so old-school... or is it just plain old? ;D By the way, I don't think you're a "pretentious geek". :)

I can't believe your test results inferred that I was a pretentious geek! That's so rude! haha.

I did roxxor the test though, but my ability to learn and hold onto useless information is amazing even to me.

wait, did that sound pretentious?

*giggles* Naw... it didn't sound pretentious. :D I'm the same way... it's amazing what kinds of random facts I can retain, btu I'll forget whether or not I shut off my flat iron before leaving the house for work. *laughs*

Yeah, this is about right. I suck at remembering people's names, but lyrics stick in my head. I'm actually surprised I did so well on this. =)

there are a lot of those songs i wish I didn't know.

I only knew who wrote 'anna godda da vidda' because of the Simpsons episode where Bart tricks them into playing it in church and Rev. Lovejoy introduces it as being written by "I. Ron Butterfly"
