So my mom told me that the doctor's office called them looking for me (I was too paranoid then too lazy to change my contact info at the doctors office last time I was in) so I called them back this morning, a little freaked out. I mean, if the doctor doesn't tell you you're sick, are you still sick? ;) Anyway, turns out my bloodwork came back and I have high cholesterol. I'm not sure how I feel about this. It weirds me out, makes me feel old. And, of course, as soon as they tell you something like that, suddenly every ache you feel must be signs of severe heart problems! Anyway, I'm supposed to "change my diet" then go in for blood work in 3 months.

I think by "change my diet", we'll just insert, "stop eating at Burger King so much". That's probably the main culprit. Then maybe I'll buy some fruit to snack on and stop getting chips (we had a weird chip/BK month in November, now we just have to cut back).

ANYWAY! Enough about that - let's talk about something fun - like my New Year's Party! Perri and I brainstormed and I came up with the idea to have it be comedy themed. See, since comedies are usually 20 minutes or sketches, we can watch a lot of them and still chat between then or during them. Eh? Eh? Plus, who doesn't want to end the year laughing?

I worked 3 1-9 shifts this week, that was a mistake. Luckily, I wont' have a chance to really repeat it. :D New job = regular schedule! yay! Though I need to dump my sundays, I don't know if I still want those now that I'm full time.

Lost last night felt pretty good, very old school with the seeing weird things and kate flashbacks. I'm happy that we finally know what she did...though, honestly, I'm sorta sad about how cliche it is. But whatever. I knew things would get better as soon as everyone was back in one spot.

Mr Ecko is the man, btw. If you haven't figured that out yet. Even Locke seemed unsettled by him. I hope we get a flashback for him soon. Probably not though, they want to keep the mystery as long as they can.

And Walt's in the computer, huh? So either the 'others' are monitering his computer use to find out where the hatch is, or Walt has been locked away in his own private hatch and has found a computer. OR he's escaped the others and found a hatch to hide in. I'm excited about this show again, yay!

I advertised my little [livejournal.com profile] novel_graphics in some of the library communities I'm a member of and got a fantastic response! I'm so happy I'm not the only librarian with an interest in these things! Plus, I know this will give me lots of new ideas for what to read! weeee! So cool. Yes, the power of the moderator has gone right to my head!

[livejournal.com profile] jimithingy installed Thunderbird for me yesterday, so I spent some of last night learning how to use it. It's pretty cool, sorta nice to see my e-mail without having to look at all the fugly ads of hotmail land.

OMG why is it only 6:30? I am so ready to go home now.

hahaha the last time I had blod work done I had high cholesterol too. It had been a crappy month with no time for anything, so I ate fast food. XD

yeah, if I'm remembering right, we had one week where we had burger king 2 days in a row - that right there probably caused the whole thing haha. Just have to avoid the fries. Sushi tonight so that should be okay!

I'm sorry, hun. :( I'm sure that a change in diet would do wonders for you. :) I know that a poor change in diet for me these past couple months has made gain a couple pounds and feel worse physically. *hugs*

yeah, I think I should be alright. It was at the low end of high, just high enough for them to call me. I think I'm going to buy some healthy snacks next time we go shopping and [livejournal.com profile] jimithingy is going to cut back on the butter in the cooking. Should be fine in 3 months.

today was bad though, I ate so many things that were on the no-no list, but we were out at dinner and it was a nice restaurant and you can't pass up good food for a diet! haha.
