the pants that I ordered from Kohls are in some sort of mail limbo. According to the online tracking, it's at the post office, but I went there today and was told there was nothing for me. Hm. I've e-mailed customer service who really has no control over the mail system itself, but they do have my money already so I'd like them to do something. If only to make a concerned face.

Round 2 of [livejournal.com profile] whedon_lims is up...this lims thing is harder than I thought. We have to play Simon Cowell (though from what I've heard, I'm probably more Paula Abdul like) and respond with the icons we least like and explain why. And these icon makers are really good! I feel like i need to stare at the screen and scrutinize every pixel...

[livejournal.com profile] jacentk2 posted this link - DDR in West Virginia schools!. Makes me wish I was a kid again...okay not really. Still, it is highly amusing. I wonder if the library could do something like that with Karaoke Revolution for a teen program....

[livejournal.com profile] cannons_fan just posted some awesome Mal & Han icons! Bloody brilliant idea! wish I'd thought of it

And in a classic case of "do as I say, not as I do" the MPAA gets busted for copying a movie

oh yes, I am the link QUEEN today......

EDIT: Ooooh look, another one - <a href="http://www.retrojunk.com/”>Retro Junk</a>

Death Cab for Cutie being both, right? :-)

Over the holidays your uncle and I were in a local music store (yep, they still exist) and I mentioned that I hadn't been able to find the latest Death Cab for Cutie. He went right up to counter and asked, because he really wanted to say "Death Cab for Cutie" to the clerk. I don't think he knew anything about them, he just enjoys sounding cool :-)

the question is - does he know it's a Beatles' reference? At least, I'm pretty sure it is. In "Magical Mystery Tour", there is some random group singing a song called 'death cab for cutie' when the tour bus stops for dinner.

lord, that is a WEIRD show. I enjoy the music video bits with the Beatles singing, but the "sketches" in between can just get odd.

There is a "local music store" in New Jersey near AD's parents which I love. Everytime we go in there I leave with far too many CDs. They also have used stuff which doesn't help. I can't resist a $5 album. We have 'Record and Tape Traders' around here, they are sort of a local chain, but they don't have as wide a selection as I'd like.

You and Jim need to road trip down here because I love hanging out with you guys! I don't know what we'd do...but we'd have fun!!
