Maybe it's because I've never watched her show, but I'm kinda "eh" about KB too. I don't think she looks creepy though, just a bit too bubblegum-y for my taste. And there is certainly nothing wrong with looking 30. ~_^
yeah, I didn't like her until I watched 'Veronica Mars' (which you would like! You should rent season1 like we did....soooo good, I mean, not as good as Buffy, but it has Joss' seal of approval so come on!) But she's so good in that show so I like her now. :)
hee! no no...it's not the 30 bit...it's the "i'm 30 playing 16" bit. and i have no idea why she bugs me in that way so much...hell, i grew up laughing at how old the 90210 kids were. honestly, maybe she just has one of those ageless faces to me and she just doesn't look like a high schooler.
hahaha. She's the same age as me! Even though she's playing an 18 year old on tv...but isn't that the way? Alyson Hannigan was older than 16 when Buffy started...I think she might have been in her 20s.
I like her cuz she makes goofy faces...and I tend to make goofy faces. She has weird teeth though. Like, when she has a big ol' grin going, she looks a bit odd. But I still like her :) From what I can tell, she doesn't take herself too seriously...but I haven't done a whole lotta research yet (yes, I research my fandoms, I don't like to be fans of people who are jerks...)
But yes, fan/fanatic...I don't think I'm at the fanatic phase for Veronica Mars yet. Need to see season 2. But I did enjoy season 1 soooo very much. Harry Potter too, I wouldn't say I was a fanatic, as I enjoy the books and the movies but I've only read them the one time. But Buffy and Star Wars, I'd probably fall into the fanatic category!
the age thing doesn't usually bother me much, i don't know why it does with her. i haven't actually watched a whole episode either, and i'm not sure i can since i was picking in a guy friend relentlessly for watching his little girly show. :D
yeah...i have trouble being fans of jerks too. *snickers* actually, sarah michelle bugs me a bit in that way...but when i like their work i try to ignore it unless they're aggressively nasty like tom cruise.
i think i'm most fanatic about joss and x-files...because i like the people behind the scenes so much and want to follow their work. i really hope james wong and glen morgan get into more stuff again now that they've chucked out "final destination 3". i think they were the really good stuff that kept chris carter afloat.
ah, morgan&wong. Did you ever watch their short-lived tv show The Others (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0229916/)? A group of psychics...uh, that's all I remember. That and the season ended on a HUGE cliffhanger and then they cancelled it and I was so very sad never to see what happened again.
X Files and I had a very bad breakup. Buffy was my rebound relationship. I'm still very bitter towards XF. I even own season 1, but still can't bring myself to watch it. So many parts of that show went wrong and I had a huge crush on David Duchovny and was so upset when he turned into a total asshat.
they also did "space, above and beyond". i watched both as the networks killed them. grrr!
*giggles* i don't think of him as doing that. i think, while he can certainly be an arrogant jackass, he simply wanted to be near his damn wife and not ruin her career shipping her to canada.
I don't think I knew they did 'final destination' either. I enjoyed that movie.
Duchovny was stuck up before he got married. And Chris Carter made me mad because he couldn't keep his mythology stories together. My friend beckanon has this theory that, while people like Joss looked at the internet as a way to communicate and get feedback from fans, Carter didn't know how to react to it and paniced when he saw people putting the pieces together and tried to spite them by adding plot twists that made no sense.
Joss really spoiled me when it comes to continuity and respecting of the fans.
heehee- that is my theory, isn't it? I have so many theories I lose track of them..
To Chris Carter's credit, although he was not the first writer to deal with a rabid fandom, he may have been one of the first witers to deal with a rabid fandom on the internet, which can be a scary thing. Joss at least had a bit of a chance to see how the internet changed the whole writer-fan dynamic, and fortunately decided to work with the fans and not against them.
David Duchovny was always an asshat. Or at least way too arrogant, considering that GA could and still can act circles around him :-)
Bleak House rocks, btw. Not something to get into mid-way, though. I've seen the first ep once and the 2nd twice, and I'm still a bit confused.
I want to put sounds on my phone. :( My brother got a program for xmas that's supposed to let you create your own ringtones, I so want to make an Angel or Buffy or Firefly one. Currently, my stuff toy yoda is my background on my phone. I'm so not cellphone literate.

I never understand dickens first time round, in any format!
Yeah, that's true about DD...I think I was just young and foolish when I fangirled over him...
