So, today at work, I had to help with check out because it gets really busy due to the fact that the Harbour School kids come over in the afternoon. So one girl was checking out Star Wars books and I told her that it was my favorite movie of all time. It was my desert island movie. And she giggled and told me she loved Princess Leia. So after I got done checking her books out, I handed them to her and said:

"These are due back June 21st, have a nice day. And may the force be with you."

and she about fell over laughing haha. She couldn't believe a librarian would say something like that!

And then the teacher commented on her christian upbringing, saying "You know you were raised Catholic when someone says "May the Force by with you" and your immediate reaction is to say "And also with you." And I had to laugh at that, because I know I heard a little voice in my head say that line as well.

Ah, I love amusing random people with my dorkness. It really makes me day. :D

Yay! That has made my morning... so cute! I love that the SW bug is still being passed down to younglings. Especially girls. :)

me too! If there hadn't been a line behind her I would have started chatting with her about how cool Leia is. They come into the branch every week though, so maybe now she'll feel comfortable chatting with me (there's already one little boy who follows me around because he knows I can talk star wars - I corrected him on the spelling of Aayla Secura's name haha)

Hi, I found your journal when I was lookign for SW icons, so I hope you don't mind me commenting. :)

But, in the new Star Wars book Betrayal they actually say that. I wonder if Aaron Allston was raised Catholic. Amusingly enough, I've had the same experience from my upbrining. hehe.

I'll even use the icon I lifted from you site. ;) BTW, your icons rock. I'll likely do a bit more lookign around and a bit more taking. hehe

I love comments. :) They make my day! Especially when they are full of ego boosting like yours!

man, I have been hearing sooo much about 'Betrayal'. I don't usually read star wars books anymore, but I might have to pick this one up! If only to see "and also with you" on the page!

Glad I could help. hehe

I would urge you to pick up the book. I'm not sure if you read New Jedi Order or nor. However, I thought that was the best thing that's happened to Star Wars in a LONG time. (Even considering it got off to a little bit of a slow start, in my opinion)

And, if you haven't read NJO and have some time, I would suggest that too. :)
