ZOMG! the cover of the new Buffy comic! I am excited about this! I might actually get off my lazy butt and go to the comic shop on a regular basis for this series.

by the way, mistress of the fangirl, i think you should take my icon and make it into your own spiffiness. ;) i'd love to see what you'd do with the sentiment.
Did they give a date when this will be released in the stores? I may need to geek out over this too! That is a truly beautiful cover also, and I'm looking forward to Joss writing these. The only really decent Buffy comic so far has been Fray, and I think that was due to Joss's writing. Hope they get some good artists for the inside too though, since my complaint for some of the comics written by other people that *had* decent stories, the art was often pretty blah.
I haven't seen a release date for in stores yet. Maybe I should just call the comic shop and tell them to hold it whenever it comes in...
Yes, the Buffy comics were pretty weak when Joss or other buffy writers were not involved (I enjoyed some of the ones shots done by Jane Espenson and crew - tales of the slayers, tales of the vampires).
But yes, we must have this precioussssss *pets comic*
now is the time to spend all your money on teeny tiny books...with pictures! Because nothing says "i'm becoming a responsible adult" then charging $50 at a comic book store.
