important lesson learned today

note to self - when singing 'Old MacDonald Had a Farm', the bird-like creature that you have a puppet of is in fact a Chicken and not a Rooster. And the Chicken just says "cluck cluck" Because "cock-a-doodle" doesn't quite work out the way you want it to in the end.

Seriously, just sing the verse and you'll see why I almost died of embarassment today during storytime.

the funniest part was that no one saw it coming. The whole room, kids, moms, and me, were singing at the top of our lungs...it was only when it slowly dawned on us what was coming that you heard the mom's voices sort of drop out and I just mumbled a "co---oh wait, CLUCK!" The kids were totally innocent and oblivious, it was just our adult minds that went "uh oh"

Classic stuff, if they ever make a sitcom of my life, that sketch will have to be in it.

yeah, I've learned, practice before performing, no matter how well you know the song. hehe.

Luckily, I think my face got red enough that the parents realized it was just an error and I wasn't some twisted librarian. I don't start messing with their minds until they are teen. bwahahahha!
