omg my mom was right!!!
Nov. 12th, 2006 06:01 pmWe made custom figures today at the DCSWCC meeting! They bought little George Lucas heads for us to paint and I attached mine to a prequel Obi-Wan body. Sadly, somewhere between my car and the apartment, the head fell off!!! Silly me, running around with my action figure in hand. :( So I cannot show him to you right now. StarWarsDaddy took pictures so I will get a copy for you to see.
Though the best was Princess George - George's head on ANH Leia's body (power of the force line so she looked ridiculous anyway).
*cries* All I have to show for this is a headless Obi!!!!
Though I really did enjoy the customizing thing. The hardest part was detaching the head from the Obi-Wan figure. I mean, it was stuck in there but also, he was an okay figure...fine...then *CHOP* off came his head. I actually had to have someone else do it for me.
I wish I had the time to start customizing. Just to make it more tempting, the Buffy Collector Club I joined has special "customizers sales" where they send you a box of figures for real cheap. Ooooh it would be fun to make custom buffys! Maybe I should buy a box and have a customizing party! Everyone could come over and create their own figures!!!
EDIT: Yay, StarWarsDaddy posted his pictures! You can see my creation (Jedi Master Lucas) - and everyone else's (including Princess George!) Check out the pics here. And if you wish to make fun of me, I'm pulling the 'deer in headlights' look in picture #5. *sigh* That's why we need to have sodas with SUGAR at the meetings.
