I was attempting to find clips from the US version of coupling, just to compare. I found some 30 second ones and they were very very painful. This classic clip from the REAL 'Coupling' came up while I was searching, and it's just so good I figured I'd post it. :D Because it's good to have Steve's speeches on hand for a giggle.

btw, if anyone objects to the embedded video thing (I'm not 100% sure I'm down with it) let me know. I might go back and hide it under a cut. This was sort of an experiment to see if it worked.

haha- that was pretty funny! I'll have to check out this show. What's the problem with the US one? Aside from the accent.. (I just posted on another blog my theory that anything said with a British accent is inherently funnier, although it's probably presumptuous to call that *my* theory)

yes, definately check out 'Coupling' if you have a chance (Netflix has the whole series, and it's british so it's not as big a commitment to watch an entire season as it is with a US show).

I haven't actually seen an entire episode of the U.S. version but just from watching the clips something is very...off. Maybe it's timing, maybe it's the spirit of the thing, I don't know. It's odd. The 30 second clips I saw on youtube were enough to convince me not to pursue it any further though.
