the trouble with 'smallville'

So, Smallville has started back up. It's not a very good show but I watch it. It's like eating a candy bar, you don't need it, it has no nutrional value, but you eat it anyway.
But anyway - the one I just watched was very much the same as the Buffy episode from season 6 'Normal Again'. In 'Labyrnth', Clark gets zapped into an alternate reality by one of the spirts from the phantom zone, and suddenly he is just a crazy person in a mental institution who thinks he has superpowers.
Problem is - we know he's superman. On Buffy, the fans had a momentary panic attack because, who knows! Maybe she was just a crazy chick! But Clark, we already know his future. We know where he's going, what he is going to become! So that bit of suspense if really shot, and it's what the whole episode hinges on. Instead, it turned into a really twisted 'A Wonderful Life', with everyone being happier without him. It was pretty much unwatchable because we KNEW it wasn't real and it was just a big waste of time.
And they really need to let the Lana thing go! It's just another bit of Clark's future we know doesn't exist! Him and Lana can never be! Let the poor boy move on.
And clearly, next week is a "red kryptonite" episode. Just like on 'Dark Angel' when Max would go into heat because of the feline genes they had used to create her, Red Kryptonite gives the writers a chance to sex things up a bit on Smallville. Ugh, it's always just really annoying and everyone has to have a memory wipe at the end otherwise they would SEE Clark doing all these big, bad, naughty things. *sigh*
All I wanted to see what 'Justice', which apparently aired when Office & Scrubs were new, so I missed it. I'm downloading it now. Let's just get theLeague of Hotness Justice League together and kicking ass and have some cool stories rather than this soap opera crap that has no suspense to it.
