In '300', which one is George Bush?

You know, I love my analogies as much as the next person, but this one just made me go "wha-huh-ha??" Bush as Xerxes? Bush as Leonidas? HA! It is to LAUGH!

It's obvious any war movie that comes out now will be discussed in terms of the Iraq war. I probably shouldn't be so surprised. Plus, it sounds like some of the additions to the story from the graphic novel might have caused this comparison. And the reaction in Berlin was a little unsettling...

Ah well, hopefully I'll be able to post my own thoughts on all this on Sunday :D

yeah, that never really crossed my mind while I was reading the comic, but perhaps whatever they added in the film makes it feel that way. Or people are just full of it. haha.

I suspect people are full of it. Although I am continuously surprised by sub-text that is later confirmed as intentional by the author. One day I will publish a children's book called "Mr. Puffin goes to Space" and it will sell billions of copies. On my death bed I'll say it was really a complex religious treatise about Jesus. Oh, and a political commentary on the conflict in the Falklands.
