just a quickie update before we run off to eat lovely Mexican food and drink margaritas:

My new Buffy comic came today and I just finished it - OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!didyouseethe...andtheoneline...andthatlast...OMG!
...I will post a more in-depth analysis later, but right now that's all my brain can say. Joss is love.

Speaking of - I finished book 6 of Runaways today (issue 13-18 it says) and that was really good! Again, I may have to come back and post later under a cut to avoid spoilage. (though I loved the Leeroy Jenkins reference....BKV is also love)

Also snagged my freebie comics but I haven't actually read them yet. The comic guy said I could take 3 so I picked up BSG, Amelia Rules, and the Peanuts collection, because you can never have enough Charlie Brown.

Then I went to my meeting -- vertigozooropa, I didn't know he would be at the meeting today, but the DCSWCC member who had the extra Asajj unleashed brought her so I nabbed her up for you. We'll work out the details over IM.

And jellibean...do you have the snowbunny bust-up?....just wondering *evil grin*

okay, off to eat yummy foods (which is good because I am STARVING!)

Buffy issue three - OMG I know right!? I've just finished Runaways book four & will hopefully get 5 & 6 over the coming weeks (I actually started them before I even knew Joss was gonna write for them, I have a friend who loves 'em). And yay - A Princess Mononoke icon :). And I missed free comic book day 'cos I was sick :(. Boo.

Yeah, I'm going to have to sit down with issue 3 and make notes of all the things I want to talk about. So much going on with the story and *visually* (and I don't just mean page 3!)

If you like Runaways, you should check out Brian K Vaughan's other work! 'Y The Last Man' is made of awesome! I'm so excited that he's writing an arc for Season 8. He's admitted to being a Buffy fan so this is a match made in geek heaven (Nerdvana?)
