this shit just got real
May. 6th, 2007 12:41 pmLast night, we saw the movie that everyone has been talking about - you know the one with the good looking lead actor, the villian all dressed in black, with a little bit of a romance story and a final battle on the rooftops.
Hot Fuzz.
The movie was so much better than I had expected. I mean, I liked 'Shaun of the Dead' - but I think I enjoyed 'Hot Fuzz' more. Perhaps it's because I've seen so many more "buddy cop" films so the outlandishness of it all really worked for me. I felt the script stayed on track a bit better with the silliness (I've only seen 'Shaun' the once, but I remember feeling like it got a bit serious at one point). In 'Hot Fuzz', even the serious moments are a bit silly! But this movie was HILARIOUS! Everyone in it acted their little socks off and it had so many laugh out loud moments, I don't think there was a time when I wasn't giggling (well, apart from the times I was gasping and going "EEEW" - these guys do love their icky moments).
Yes, go see this movie. If you're walking over to see Spiderman 3 and the line is crazy long, just get a ticket for 'Hot Fuzz' instead. You'll have a good time. :)

We get the AAAAHH moment, and it's a fake out, but then why would he....you know....in front of the whole town? Was it to save Nick from them? And if so, why was he so incredulous aftewards?
