orangerfulwell, the reaction to last nights LOST from the ol' Flist is very interesting - some of you loved it, some of you hated it. I was chatting online with a friend from my star wars club while it was on - he was watching it, I was not. So he's just typing random expressions of shock and awe and then tells me I have to watch it right now. So, now that it's been built up, I figure I should, so I do, and it was...well it was okay. Sort of predictable actually.
- So, why does EVERYONE on this island have Daddy/Mommy issues???? Can no one come from a healthy family??? Ugh. Again, I have to say that is some lazy writing. let's change up the issues a bit, shall we! I say, bring back the drug use!
- Was anyone really surprised when someone appeared in the chair? Don't get me wrong, I thought that seen was creepy, but I knew it was coming, I just didn't know when.
- Now, someone commented that the show is now set to run until 2010. I dunno if I can make it that long. That's too long. It needs to end now. I can feel the X Files syndrome taking full effect. I knew it had the symptoms, but I think we can now confirm that it has a full fledged case.
- I really do not like Kate. Are there ANY female writers on this show? Because most of the female characters SUCK. Sun is the only one I still like, but the rest just rub me the wrong way.
- Jack just needs to STFU. Why is no one else pissed that he was ready to ditch ALL OF THEM? He had no intention of returning to them, yet everyone is all "oh hi jack, welcome back, be the leader". It has bothered me since he returned with the group.
- And we all know Locke is fine. No one kills Locke.
- On the non-ranty front - does the lack of aging in the Others mean that time passes slower on the island? Or that it slows the aging process? Does this explain why the women have problems creating babies, seems like that if you can't age on this island, going from an egg to a baby would be rough work.
I'm thinking I might stop watching next year and just wait for it to be out on DVD. I'll watch the finale next week and decide. Maybe I'll just DVR the whole season next year and only watch episodes people seem happy about....

Kate needs to die. I've hated her from episode 3 (season 1) I think Evangeline is a horrible actress, and, like most the female characters as you said, they're boring and just fillers as far as I'm concerned.
Locke better not be dead (not that I give a damn about any aspect of it any more) I have to admit, I was a bit shocked been Ben capped him.

Date: 2007-05-11 02:15 pm (UTC)It made me mad that Ben's dad blamed Ben for his mother's death. Why anyone would take his 7-month pregnant wife for a hike in the woods is beyond me. Over-exertion = not good for pregnancy. ARGH.
Kate is a moron. Sayid r0x0rs. Richard has on too much eyeliner, but he is still pretty.
Maybe there will be a Jack/Sawyer showdown, an epic battle which takes place on the four-toed statue. You know, just so we can put it back in the storyline? ;P
There are going to be three more seasons of LOST--16 episodes each. And they're all going to begin in January and run uninterrupted.

And I like Kate. She's just underused at the moment, as most characters are.
