orangerfulI love Red Dwarf. :-) Why are british comedies so great at making up outrageous metaphors and analogies? Just watch Blackadder or Red Dwarf and listen to the things they say. Or Monty Python.

Pittsburgh is now the proud holder of the "I Pity this City" award, formerly held by Cleveland as one of the saddest cities I've seen. Maybe it was just the below 20 weather, but it just seemed dead there. The city consists of 3 blocks and is pretty much all business. No party in the back. I guess it's probably cool to live there cuz you can go to clubs and shit, but if you're doing a drive by, there are no "attractions" per se. The Andy Warhol museum was cool, but as I know diddly about mr warhola, it meant little to me beyond the "oooooh that's a weird one" level. Best part was the balloon room.
Do the purposely make hotel beds uncomfortable so you won't want to live at the hotel? that's the only reason I can think of that those things would be so stiff. I mean, shouldnt' hotels have the most worn in beds? How do they manage to stay rock hard for so long? And the heaters? Are they made to only heat 1/3 of the room? You can have that thing on max all night and you still wake up shivering.
We saw "Chicago" last night. That was a FUN movie. I really enjoyed it. I hope hollywood will make some decent musicals now. Its gonna rake in the oscars and they will have no choice but to support these bits of culture. Thing about "chicago" is it isn't a "chick flick", it's a damn risque movie/musical and it's not going to go over peoples heads. It's pretty straight forward musically and plot line wise. Mass appeal. People are so used to Musical = wholesome. Well they better see Chicago cuz it will change their minds. Sex, murder, scandals.....and all that jazz. ;-)
My poor adrian is sick. I hate being so far away when he doesn't feel good. Than again, I really have no desire to see him puking. Or get what he's got! but it would be nice to hug him and say he'll feel better soon. Cuz it's easy to love somebody when they are healthy and feeling good. The true test it when they are sniffling and sneezing all over you and cranky from the cold medication. That's the test!

By this time next week, Adrian will have survived 2 years as my boyfriend. I need to buy that boy a medal. One like in the Wizard of Oz with "Courage" stamped across the front in big letters.
I cut my finger on the Lego instruction booklet for the blockade runner (which vincent is finishing up the engines on as i type). Stupid paper cuts bleed so much though I had to run upstairs and get band aid so I didnt' get red spots on the white legos. yeesh.
Red Dwarf on DVD in February! yay! I can't say no to that. Just in time for my birthday. So that makes, buffy, hitchikers guide, and red dwarf dvds on my list..... a very dvd birthday I see ahead.
well I gots to sleep. Lack of it with whole hotel bed thing. My left shoulder has turned into a rock and it's very painful. argh!
