I finally watched 'The Queen' last night. I have to agree that it was well acted by everyone in the cast. It was fascinating to watch because I had no idea of all the turmoil that Diana's death caused. I mean, I remember when she died. People were upset. But we never heard about the controversy of the Royal's reactions (Or lack there of). And I didn't know that it all happened around the same time Tony Blair became Prime Minister!

It has to be very weird being the Queen. People complain that the Royals are out of touch with reality, but how could she ever be in touch? She comments that she knows what the people of England are like, but how can she know what modern society is when she lives in a bubble, surrounded by a culture that was created centuries ago? It's like she lives in a time capsule.

Anyway, the movie was great. You really are forced to see the ordeal from several different perspectives. There are no villians or heroes, it's just life. That's what made a movie that should have been insanely dull so captivating.
