PB review of HP7

One of the more honest HP7 reviews I've read here at Publishers Weekly. No spoilers.

*sigh* I swear I liked the book well enough, but every time I try to discuss it, it all devolves into a wankfest! And I wasn't that hardcore of a fan even!

And I know what you mean, we all keep saying it was good, we liked it but *insert wank-fest* I think that is just the reaction everyone is having. lol =P

haha, yes that image made the star wars blogs as soon as it happened. The biggest revelation was that Lucas may actually have a sense of humor! Bastard!

Discuss it with me! I thought the book was a fine way to wrap up the series! Not the greatest work of literature ever, by any means, but none of the books are, and I think the final book delivered in the way it was supposed to deliver. I even disagree with the PW review- I haven't been crazy about JKR's action scenes in the past, but the ones in this book kept me riveted!

Think, just think, how bad it could have been! Do I need to bring up Chris Carter? George Lucas? Lost? At least when she said she had it planned out from the beginning, she wasn't talking out of her arse! (ew, that's sort of a weird image..)

um, this is all assuming "wankfest" means people have criticisms? Just realized I don't know for sure what that means..

haha, yeah the term "wank" means ranting about something that is a pretty silly thing to get upset over (like Harry Potter).

It's not that I didn't like the book, I just felt it could have been a bit better. I know it could have been a lot worse! I give it a 3 out of 5 stars. It did it's job, but I really think she could have cleaned it up a bit more.

We shall definitely discuss in a couple weeks. Probably drive AD insane but I don't care! haha.
