HP7 Spoilers!
Jul. 26th, 2007 09:51 pmAfter the "Epilogue". I really wish Rowling could have worked SOME of this information into the final epilogue. I don't need to know the middle names of grandchildren, but the professions of the surviving characters and the "revolution" in the way the Ministry is run would really have made the ending feel a bit tighter.
I feel like I should print this out and stick it in the back of my copy of HP7 so the next time I read it, I can just pretend it's part of the end of the book...

Date: 2007-07-27 02:40 am (UTC)The last non-Potter book I finished ended ambiguously, with more info online. I didn't bother. If there's more to say, say it in the book!
Have I made myself clear?? :-)

Date: 2007-07-27 02:47 am (UTC)I hate books with "online" elements. Put it in the damn book!!!! There's a bunch of teen books doing this now and it annoys the hell out of me! Lots of TV shows doing it too (*cough*Lost*cough) and it's just rude to leave assume your readers/viewers are going to spend even MORE time researching your fake characters.
So...I'll just hold out for the Special Edition Harry Potters that will come out in 10 years, hopefully including "deleted scenes" ;)
