Cool Toys at SDCC

I was just really bored and went through the SDCC photos posted at Cool Toy Review. Here are a few stand-outs from my idle surfing:

Very cool Harry Potter toys (cheshire_c, there's a pretty good looking Lucious statue, and destertale, I spotted a Snape action figure!)

Premium Format Lara Croft statue - I'd never buy it, but look at the close up shots of her face. Doesn't she look like Eliza Dushku?? Wonder if they are working on a Faith statue...

I don't actually want these specific figures, since the PotC didn't do it for me, but I'd like to see more in this line.

I saw the Harry Potter figures at Newbury Comics the other day, and couldn't take my eyes off them. I didn't see the Snape or Dumbledore, those look amazing!

Ironically, I'm headed to Newbury right now.. *repeats to self.. "I have no room for action figures.. I have no room for action figures.."*

they look really cool, I'm even tempted! How big are there, there's not much to scale them against in the photos.

We might need to go by Newbury when we're up there hehe. (Plus, I want to buy cool indie band CDs! Make a list!)

Just got back from Newbury.. I'm sorry to report that they are a very respectable size, so we can't use size as an excuse for not buying them. They look great. Still no Dumbledore or Snape. Right now they have both Harrys, Sirius, Voldemort, the graveyard scene, and, um, maybe some other stuff. They had some bigger items too, more like dolls, but those were a little *too* big. I wonder if some of the comics stores we've been to in the past might have more of the figures.

If you click through all the Harry Potter figures on the link you sent, what's with the winged boobie chick at the end? I don't remember her character from the books!

Yeah, there were a bit disturbing. It's too thick, the hair should be thinner and less styled! How do they not see this?

My friend has the quidditch ball set that is in one of the pictures. Such a cool collectible. She had it out on display at the HP program this week.

Wow. Those look amazing! Good sculpting! I will have to at the very least have a Snape. (*hugs* Snape) The Riddle tomb is pretty darn cool too (could see it on my desk also...) Lucius and Dumbledore look really good too. Well, hell, they all do.
