Whoppers are a ridiculous amount of food

Why does Burger King sell anything bigger than a Whopper? Seriously? I just had a kids meal for lunch and that was plenty! It's like we convince ourselves that we are older and need to eat more, so a single cheeseburger could never be enough. But really, it's the perfect size. Still chocked full of BK's fatty goodness, but not as horrible for me. Plus, we got two talking Simpsons figures!

I'm just saying.

Oh, and what is up with gelato? Why is it suddenly EVERYWHERE! I remember my mom trying to explain what gelato was to me, because she had eaten it in Italy back when we lived there. It seemed so exotic. Last week, Giada was making gelato on one of her many Food Network programs. Today, we go to Giant and there are boxes of the stuff, ranging from the more expensive (but probably better tasting) "Simply Enjoy" brand all the way down to Turkey Hill!

I am tempted to go buy some of the chocolate hazelnut gelato so I can make one of Giada's Gelato Coolers. I mean, look at those things! Mmmm mmmm. And I could probably handle making it myself since all I would need to do is crush some ice, dump in the kahlua, and crush some chocolate covered coffee beans.

Dude, I know. I once got a Whooper, thinking it was about the same size as a Quarter Pounder, but the Whopper was just ludicrous. Even taking into account not having fries (since BK's are awful) I'll stick to the kiddie stuff, or a double cheeseburger at most.

In the past year or so, we've cut back a lot on our fast food consumption, especially the burger places. And once you stop eating it, you forget how heavy it all tastes! I can't believe I used to eat Whoppers on a regular basis! The kiddie stuff is plenty of food....plus free toy!!!

In high school we went to McD's a ton for lunch, because it was close, and we always got Happy Meals because they were the fastest to eat. Yay toys!

Its been eons since I've had fast food and I don't miss it. My "drug" of choice was the Mickey D's hamburgers. There was something about the minced onions. I always removed the pickle.

To this day the best gelato I've had was in Italy. Each stand was different but yummy. And I'm not an ice cream lover.

yeah, we hardly ever get fast food anymore. It just tastes bad and I usually feel gross afterwards. But after eating that kids meal, I can't imagine eating anything bigger than that again!

See, I never cared much for the minced onions. Did enjoy the McD's cheeseburgers. I must have scraped off the onions.

yeah, I sort of want to save myself for real gelato! Someday!
