dirty sexy Sweeney Todd?

Thanks to jimithingy, we are all caught up on DIRTYSEXYMONEY now. I think...I think I might love that show. It's so wrong. It's like a darker version of 'Arrested Development' with a bit of murder mixed in (or was it really murder?). If someone had told be Bryan Singer was involved, I would have been there from day 1!

The theatrical trailer for Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd is up! Are they not doing the musical or are they just too afraid to actually advertise that it's a musical? Depp sings a wee bit in the trailer so I assume it's Sondeim's stuff but...hm...weird.

I keep seeing commercials for that show on tv (I can't remember now, is it on spike?). Anyway, I was kind of intrigued, but not enough to actually tune in. I love Arrested Development though, and I had no idea it was even remotely like it. Maybe I'll have to start watching!

It's similar to AD in that the central family, the Darlings, are so rich that have absolutely no concept of what "normal" people are like. And Nate, er I mean, Nicky is the normal one trying to "keep them all together" -- except he's their lawyer, not their son.
