Hotmail has been eating all of my livejournal emails! Livejournal is aware of this, probably even sent out notification but...Hotmail is eating all of the Livejournal emails! I finally went to look at the LJ help center and saw the alert. D'oh! So I'm sorry if I haven't responded to people's comments! I was checking my own blog but I didn't really go back to see if people responded on their posts because...well, my flist is way too long :\

I'm going to fiddle with it now and see if I can get updates sent another way...

...but first, I'm of to my DCSWCC meeting! We're going to make our very own Death Stars! bwahahahAHAHAHA!

I have a Gmail account, but I'm not sure if I can get it to work with Thunderbird...i'll have to look into it

Do you know where you need to go to make the notifications go to a different e-mail addy? I've gone to the comments section but its no help...

I went into my profile section and just changed my main email. We'll see if it works. I did receive the "validate this email" notice so hopefully that is a good sign!

I agree, I use Gmail and I love it. Haven't had an issues with not receiving LJ notifications.

yeah, I keep saying I should get rid of hotmail but then I have to go through the whole process of telling everyone and updating it with all my websites. Blah, it's a whole big thing.

Or maybe not, I don't really get that much good email!

gmail works with thunderbird, either thru POP or IMAP, whichever you prefer.

and it can fetch your hotmail account too, dump it into a seperate section or whatever you prefer.

i have my personal email and my professional email linked to the same account so i dont have to check both...my business one is forwarded to my personal account...and the replies are routed back through my business address.

just takes a little to set up the back and forth.

WOOHOO I got this comment in my email! I switched to one that i had set up with my website awhile back. And it worked! Yee-haw!

I might go to Gmail though. Hotmail sucks. Thunderbird has far too many arguments with it and plus, microsoft, ew. ;)

Yep. The same thing started happening to me last month...I finally gave up and switched it so the comment notifications get sent to my college account :(
