good news, bad news

The good news - I managed to find most of the items I ordered on Amazon that are "in transit" on the mall today. Sure, they were considerably more, but if Amazon does not deliver on time I will just return the Amazon products to the stores. No harm, no foul, and my dad gets a present! I also found a little red dress at H&M which I plan to wear to jimithingy's grandmother's dinner. It's pretty cute. (Though I have no red shows. I'll dash into Payless on my way home tomorrow).

Bad news - I have to work tomorrow. OH GOD ITS GOING TO BE SO SLOW! And heiland_coo ran away to Buffalo for the holidays so it will just be me at the info desk with a part-time person. I can feel the boredom. Plus, my lazy butt forgot to pick up any food for lunch so I'll probably do a mad dash to WaWa on the way in or during my break.

Good news - if I can survive tomorrow I have off until Jan 2 2008! I took leave all next week! *dances* I cannot WAIT! I never take chill days off. I always have a goal or activity planned. My plans for next week? Playing with what ever goodies I get for christmas, sitting around in my jammies, and just generally not doing anything productive.

So everyone post interesting memes or something tomorrow so if I become terribly bored I have something to do on the desk! (yes, I will set such a bad example for our PTH, but I don't care! It's Christmas!!!)

Argh, long slow Saturday at work! I hope you'll have some fun setting a bad example for the PTH anyway. If you want, I can call you with an interesting question or two. I've been wanting to know the date of origin of some emphatically-not-PG-rated words from the OED and I bet you have one there in your big shiny new area branch...(sniffles over sad reference section in my tiny leaky community branch)

Problem with shopping on the Web (which I love!) is shipping weirdness. I got a present for my best friend *right after* I shipped out his other two gifts. Within hours. ::facepalm::

I'm in a tiny leaky community branch too! (emphasis on the leaky! Remember our comics program? We still have buckets at the ready for our next big storm!)

That question sounds really hard. Today was slow though, might have been interesting...

Why did I think you were at WCO?? I think our branches were about the same size, and now I remember the bucket! Sorry, age and decrepitude (and scrambling to do adoption-process and holiday stuff) are destroying my mind.
