ripping here, downloading there
Mar. 8th, 2008 09:57 pmI'm fighting with my DVD-ripper right now trying to create a version of Star Wars Cribs that I can upload. It was far less painful than I thought! I had no idea I make so many weird faces though. I thought it was just because I was on camera but AD said that it was normal. Ah well!
I got a Fireside Padme figure at the meeting today, pretty much the only 3 3/4" figure from the recent wave I wanted. I behaved myself and didn't purchase anything else. I was tempted.
Oh, and Frank showed us the trench run from Star Wars Revisited. OMG SO COOL!!! I'm downloading the entire DVD right now so I can watch it in all its glory. It sounds silly and nit-picky, but it's not just some nerdy fanboy wanking over this and that. He actually made some nice tweaks and additions. I was trying to leave when he started it up and I was like "whatever" but after watching a couple minutes I had to sit down and see the whole thing. Gorgeous seamless work. You can read a list of what changes were made on the site.
Okay, I'm going to go watch 'Hot Fuzz' and hope this Cribs thing works this time around. I will let you know once I have it uploaded. :)

Date: 2008-03-09 11:59 pm (UTC)We saw 'Hot Fuzz' in the theater and I liked it a lot. Its just so ridiculous. It was almost better the second time around because you knew where it was leading up to because I know the first time I was like "WTF is going on??" Plus, I've seen enough buddy cop and Little Village in Britain movies to get all the jokes that poke fun at the genres.
