But I have to say, this watching in "real time" is going to blow after over a year of "okay, pop in the next dvd now".

Year? Whattaya mean, "year"? It's been, like, three weeks for me.

Halfway through season three, and they've run out of likeable characters.

Seriously! Athena's the only one I don't hate yet, and that's because we begin the series hating her.

And have you noticed that Centurions look like Colonel Tigh?

Season 3 was like Buffy Season 6 for me - the first time through I was just like WTF is going on with this show. The second time through, knowing where it was all headed, I enjoyed the way the story was unfolding.

I don't know who to feel sorry for, the Centurions or Col. Tigh ;-)

I need to catch up, and then find some way to watch season 4 so that I'm not too far behind everyone else. Which reminds me.. I need to send my DVDs back to Netflix to get BSG. But before I do, do you know the best way to rip about 5 minutes off a DVD? Am I the only person in the world who doesn't know how to do this?

YES you need to get caught up! My friend Amy is DVRing season 4 even though she's only just started Season 2.5 haha.

I'm not sure how to only rip 5 minutes but I can tell you that Handbrake is a pretty good program for ripping (that's how I put my Star Wars Cribs video)

Or you can just look online and see if someone else has already uploaded the movie somewhere haha. That's usually what I end up doing. Then you can probably download a free movie editor (movie maker or something like that, try CNET for reviews and downloads) and just keep the 5 minutes you want.

ok thanks- what I wanted to do was rip Justin Rice's (Bishop Allen guy on the right of my icon) awesome performance of a BA song from the movie Mutual Appreciation. It has this great raw energy that is better I think than the CD version. I figured somebody must have ripped it but I couldn't find it. But then- woohoo! So to bring this back on topic.. I'll send the DVD back now and get BSG. Yeah.
