"I just felt like buying her flowers"
Apr. 16th, 2008 06:24 pmAD bought me roses for no apparent reason.
He told me it is "most beautiful girl in the world" day.
aaaaaaaaaaaw.
I love him.
AD said the guy at the liquor store saw him with the roses and said "Roses? Special occasion??" AD said "nope, just wanted to buy them for her"
Then he went outside and another guy said "Roses for the wife, eh? You must be in TROUBLE!"
It is amusing how differently a bouquet of roses can be interpreted.

Date: 2008-04-16 10:32 pm (UTC)That is such a sweet thing to say! I personally don't care for Valentine's Day, because I think it really is the thought that counts and then "wanted to buy them for her" is so much nicer a thought than "the shops are telling me I should get my girl-friend something".
Your AD sounds like a really nice guy -- it makes me happier to know people like him exist. Thank you for sharing!

Date: 2008-04-16 11:02 pm (UTC)He is such a great guy, I'm not sure how I got so lucky. Perhaps I was a nun or something in a previous life and I have lots of extra karma lying around?

Date: 2008-04-16 10:35 pm (UTC)Jeff brought me flowers last week when he came to visit to congratulate me for getting into RIT. I felt so spoiled! It's nice when boyfriends surprise you like that. ;)
